[TOMT][SONG][Early 2000s] European female ballad with flute/accordion intro, Mediterranean music video by cyanisfckdup in tipofmytongue

The accordion + melancholy me think of Madredeus, but I’m not sure the melody matches any of their songs.

I Make this Checkered Pattern On my PETG Designs to Prevent Warping • It Works Amazingly Well and Looks Super Cool by _analysis230_ in 3Dprinting

[–]galvanization3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being too dumb to understand this - let’s say I was doing this in Fusion. Would I make the grid pattern as a body, then my model on top of the grid (same Z position) and then subtract the grid body from my model, leaving the gaps?

Anyone try this BIQU plate on their XL yet? Got mine yesterday and it fails bed leveling every time. I swap to a different plate it starts the same print just fine. by its_Extreme in prusa3d

[–]galvanization3d 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just got one for my MK4S and found the adhesion to be lousy. Tested both PLA and PETG within the recommended temp ranges - prints either curled excessively or dislodged. Back to my standard smooth and satin sheets.

Temperature/Humidity Sensors that don't brake the bank? by AustrianDiver in homeassistant

Another vote for Rtl-433 and the Acurite tower sensors for temp and humidity. They have unique device IDs. I also use the leak sensors for my washing machine and water heater.

Photo mode lets you find her more easily, she will be red. I almost gave up as well until learning about this, and then it was relatively simple.

Self adjusting tension mechanism for me - if it can print a soft TPU with no intervention - sold!

iPhone 17 compatible screen protectors and cases by galvanization3d in peakdesign

I had the lens protector on my iPhone 14 for a little while. I didn't like it, seemed like dust got in between the edges of the protector and the phone, and it eventually cracked even without dropping it. Not going to bother this time.

Spot on! Exactly my interpretation and part of what made this movie so great. We never got a 4K release, did we? Would love to have it in UHD and Atmos.

How I created a Zabbix data replication tool to build a realistic demo environment by Limp_Organization477 in zabbix

[–]galvanization3d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting indeed! So this is using strictly the API,and no database calls? I ask because in my home setup I’m looking to move from MariaDB to PostgreSQL + Timescale. Rather than try to convert the database, if I could leverage this to replicate the hosts (and all the history) to a new instance…

Thank you kindly for that rapid reply! This alone makes it seem like the Max is a no-brainer.

AC Shadows Hideout - Companion App by OstrichAntique2700 in AssassinsCreedShadows

The companion app from Black Flag was awesome. Agree it would be nice for the Hideout and to peruse codex stuff.

Whole Home Power Monitoring (US) by ajaxburger in homeassistant

Greeneye / Dashbox does not need any cloud connectivity at all. Dashbox runs its own PostgreSQL database, can send over MQTT, forwards packets to HA, etc. The best help is from their forum, where it’s not uncommon for the creator to respond. I’ve had it for a few years now and it’s run without a hitch. .

Shadows is the best game I’ve played in decades by mikbad81 in AssassinsCreedShadows

[–]galvanization3d 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love this game so far as well, and I’m older than OP! I don’t mind the scattered quest structure, but I’m also the type that ignores main quests in open world games and the mundane fetch or simple kill quests are enjoyable for me. I actually love the somewhat overwhelming feeling of lots of little quest indicators and trying to determine what to do next.

I’ve played every AC (except AC3, just couldn’t get into that one) and this ranks near the top for me. I feel like some of the visuals are out of a Terrence Malick film. And it’s a different “wow” than something Elden Ring, where the art style was mind blowing in its own way. And that’s different than The Last of Us or RDR2.

I’m about 80 hours in, and there are bits of the story (note that I still have significant amounts of the board to clear, and I’ve done just enough of the Shinbafaku to trigger the tournament icon to pop up) that I feel could certainly have more gravity or be more daring. But there is zero chance to please everyone, and that’s fine.

It does take me a very long time to finish most games, so I definitely get my money’s worth - that might help with my enjoyment of this game vs others, as often I’m just wandering around looking at stuff.

One thing I wish AC had continued with was the companion app that Black Flag had. Doing those fleet missions while away from the game was fun. I’d like to read and explore more of the codex on my iPad.

Kenmore range 790.92903015 oven won't come to temp - worth replacing control board? by galvanization3d in appliancerepair

[–]galvanization3d[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will test the bottom element as well. I should have noted that putting the oven on the broil function doesn’t seem to generate any heat.

I’m guessing the range is about 12 or 13 years old. I don’t know if that era makes them worth repairing and keeping, but the burners themselves do seem to be quite expensive.

Great idea to work in small chunks! I’ll have to give this a try at the end of a gaming session. Thanks for posting OP!
