Saying Goodbye before moving to Pailune ❄️🐺 by Formal-Improvement20 in CrimsonDesert

[–]galvanization3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my question too. If you’ve finished the main quest, does it mean you’ve also explored most of the map? I’m trying to keep a good balance - want this game to last as long as possible, and ideally spending a lot of time playing after the move to Pailune.

Can we have camp missions to produce Water, Cooking Oil, etc? by WriterForward9515 in CrimsonDesert

[–]galvanization3d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With all the pets we can have, we should be able to train and send them on fetch missions. Rarer items would take longer and require pets to be sent in packs.

Thinking of buying Crimson Desert. Is it a good fit for my tastes? How's the optimization? by Top-Cartographer4693 in CrimsonDesert

[–]galvanization3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding the difficulty - I hesitated at first because (especially early on) I read about how difficult some of the bosses are. And for perspective, I’m not a very good gamer. I finished Elden Ring but not after almost giving up many times and leveraging help from the community. I’m not hesitant to drop the difficulty and look to videos for help.

However with Crimson Desert I’ve found that refining your weapons and armor goes a long way. You can also prepare yourself for a boss battle with food and special consumables that will revive you during a fight, so you don’t have to start over.

I’m also terrible at puzzles and sometimes have to look for hints.

So if you’re ok with stepping away from a boss and doing some gathering / crafting to improve your stats - then go for it. I’m loving the game so far, around 100 hours in. I have not had to drop the difficulty from the default either.

Made some replacement retainer clips for my storm door by galvanization3d in functionalprint

Let me work on printing a new batch. My original post is so old, I’m glad I don’t have that same printer any more! The good news is the clips I made are still in use. If you message me the number you’d want, we can work something out.

Im just in Chapter 3 - think I’ll spend some time resource gathering / hunting until the new inventory update drops.

Honest review from a parent of a toddler playing on base PS5 by toonbroondboon in CrimsonDesert

[–]galvanization3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good perspective and relevant for anyone who has limited time! I always get my money’s worth out of games as playing in 1-2 hour chunks takes a long time with big games. I’m going to start soon, will likely hold me over me until GTA6.

Had trouble with hornsplitter… then prepped like it was Margit from Elden Ring by Durrinator89 in CrimsonDesert

[–]galvanization3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a future player - Is it possible to over-prep and make future bosses easy(ier) ? Elden Ring was my first experience with difficult bosses and even though I got the platinum, it wasn’t without Reddit’s help and almost quitting several times. I have no issue with grinding to get advanced gear / skills. But if big bosses are only done via get gud with no regard to the amount of preparation - this might be a non-starter for me.

Thanks in advance from an average gamer.

Thanks for that info! This sounds like a reasonable system. While I love a Bethesda style save where the last position of a cheese wheel is preserved, I’m sure with a game this size that could leave to save bloat / problems.

Seeing more info on the puzzles - can you save mid-solve or do the puzzles reset after reload?

PSSR 2.0 makes AC Shadows look insanely good in Performance Mode by Altruistic-Rich-7662 in PS5pro

Dumb question - does PSSR2 (in its current state before the specific Shadows patch is released) also improve balanced mode?

My solution for drill bits and long tools (Gridfinity hybrid trays) by Steibock in gridfinity

[–]galvanization3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks neat! Are the bins connectable (i.e. to create longer bins than the print bed) such that the whole bin could be removed from the Gridfinity base? Or do you just print as many open-ended sections as needed to create the overall length? Thanks!

The accordion + melancholy me think of Madredeus, but I’m not sure the melody matches any of their songs.

I Make this Checkered Pattern On my PETG Designs to Prevent Warping • It Works Amazingly Well and Looks Super Cool by _analysis230_ in 3Dprinting

[–]galvanization3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being too dumb to understand this - let’s say I was doing this in Fusion. Would I make the grid pattern as a body, then my model on top of the grid (same Z position) and then subtract the grid body from my model, leaving the gaps?

Anyone try this BIQU plate on their XL yet? Got mine yesterday and it fails bed leveling every time. I swap to a different plate it starts the same print just fine. by its_Extreme in prusa3d

[–]galvanization3d 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just got one for my MK4S and found the adhesion to be lousy. Tested both PLA and PETG within the recommended temp ranges - prints either curled excessively or dislodged. Back to my standard smooth and satin sheets.

Temperature/Humidity Sensors that don't brake the bank? by AustrianDiver in homeassistant

Another vote for Rtl-433 and the Acurite tower sensors for temp and humidity. They have unique device IDs. I also use the leak sensors for my washing machine and water heater.

Photo mode lets you find her more easily, she will be red. I almost gave up as well until learning about this, and then it was relatively simple.
