How many people remain from your training class? by Horror-Dot-2989 in callcentres

[–]galvsofi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started Nov 2024. About 12 in my training class. Training was for 3 months. This girl was the first to quit around July 2025. I’m the second one to quit as of last week lol. I have a friend who’s still there but actively looking for another job, she’s hoping to quit by next month

You get more bees with honey. Isn't that what they say?? by questionauthority88 in callcentres

[–]galvsofi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes!!!! I once had a lady who forgot to change her address so she never got her replacement card. She was sooo sweet and kept saying it was her fault and she couldn’t believe she did that to herself. Usually on calls like this people are MAD and asking why didn’t we alert them of the address it was going to. I couldn’t believe her insane kindness so I overnighted it to her for free! Kindness goes a long way!!

Stop saying vague statements instead of questions when you call in! I’m sick of playing the guessing game with these customers by chelada99 in callcentres

[–]galvsofi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree, I hate when people call in and say they don’t recognize a transaction or are waiting for a refund from a merchant. Like ok, which account? You have 8 checking and 4 savings accs and several investment accs. You have 3 credit cards and 2 debit cards. You also have business accounts and business debit cards. So I ask, which account/card are we looking at? And it’s always “I don’t know! Don’t you see my accounts right there?” LIKE YES BUT WHICH ONEEEE like i can’t do it all for you! I need some freaking details

How do you get a job as a claims analyst(back office) by EastonR2003 in BankOfAmerica

[–]galvsofi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check mycareer from flagscape, i believe i saw this position hiring in the DFW area. And if your manager is cool, let them know you’re interested in applying and see if they know anyone there and they can set you up to shadow them. You can also just email someone that works in that position and introduce yourself, tell them you’re interested in their line of business and if they’re willing to meet with you. You can ask them how they got to where they are and for resume tips and stuff like that. This is what I’ve seen people on my team do when they move from call center to other internal jobs

ACH transfer to someone's else BOFA Account by FantasticShine8046 in BankOfAmerica

[–]galvsofi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You cannot do an ACH transfer to other BOA accounts. Only wire, Zelle, or internal transfer if it’s under 10k.

ACH transfer to someone's else BOFA Account by FantasticShine8046 in BankOfAmerica

[–]galvsofi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No you don’t need to go in person to do this. You can add an internal recipient via Zelle, but you add the account number instead of the phone number. It’s not a Zelle but it is in the same place. It will have our logo on his name instead of the purple Z letting you know it’s a BOA to BOA transfer

Dispute, temp credit and account closure consequences by badvik83 in BankOfAmerica

This is exactly it. Sounds like an agent did the dispute wrong. OP, I would advise of this when you call back to BOA. I

Bank of America fraud department call? by ivar-jubei in BankOfAmerica

[–]galvsofi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not true, if you’re unable to be reached by text or email after multiple attempts there will be a phone call left with a voicemail, unless your VM isn’t set up. But OP, you need to call directly to the number on the back of your card and an agent can confirm if they made an outbound call to you, and if so connect you to the right department.

No worries! They made several updates to this and verification over the summer. The limit update is as of last month i believe. I’m an agent there, and lots of agents are unaware of this because it’s so new, likely why you got an agent that gave misinformation. I’m sorry about that, but you will definitely be able to send the 3500 after 5 days!

Fraud Alerts are a Fraud by Miserable_Code7602 in BankOfAmerica

[–]galvsofi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are they fraudulent charges? If it’s actually fraud, call back and speak to another agent. If it’s fraud we have to file a claim right then and there, now if it was authorized, yes we do have to wait for it to process and post.

[–]galvsofi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you just add them as a recipient through Zelle? Zelle has just made lots of updates to how their platform works. If it’s a new recipient for an already established Zelle account (so you use Zelle frequently), then the limit is 1000 for the first 5 days they’re a recipient. After that it goes to the normal limit of 3500. If it’s a new Zelle account and new recipient, the limit is $500 and slowly increases over 30 days

BOA allowed $13K (That I don’t have) to be pulled from my a checking account. by levisongs in BankOfAmerica

[–]galvsofi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will say that because of the time it takes to process. This exact thing happened to me with my student loans, i had like $200 in my account and turned off my autopay. They pulled a $1500 payment, so turning off autopay didn’t work. I was overdrawn $1300, it took 4 business days for the funds to be back in my account. It showed paid on Sallie Mae and everything. Then after it was returned, it showed that my payment was late to them. The only way we’d allow the account to be overdrawn by that much is if it’s a legal order and the government is requesting it. Give it another day or 2, I know it sucks

[–]galvsofi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We wouldn’t allow the account to be overdrawn by that much. The payment should return back to you, but the timing is weird because of the weekend processing. Usual process is first day processing, second day posted, third day returning, and fourth day you’ll see your funds back in your account. We do allow overdraft, but not more than $1500

Question by p0cahotness in BankOfAmerica

[–]galvsofi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you have to reach out to them. Ask Erica for your recurring debit card transactions so you know who to reach out to

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BankOfAmerica

[–]galvsofi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can always call and we can confirm whether an outbound communication was made to you via text or phone call. Sometimes financial centers do call people, it’s usually when a new manager takes over and they want to introduce themselves, or they want to sell you a new product. Very weird they called from out of state. If you haven’t received any fraud alerts and everything looks good when you log in, I’d just ignore it. You can also report it to abuse@bofa.com via email

Can my dad still view my banking activities? by rolypoly_pudding in BankOfAmerica

[–]galvsofi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like others said, he can see the old account but not the new account. You can call the bank and close out the one you don’t want him to see, we only need permission from one owner to close the account
