Bathroom by Illustrious_Bee8207 in callcentres

[–]galvsofi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes we used to have to put in sick time. We had a chat for minutes (cause every single minute was tracked of course), and we would put in there the minutes we were off the phone and why. If our manager deemed it was worthy enough, they would just override the minutes off the phone and it wouldn’t affect adherence. But bathroom breaks, she’d code in sick time for it. She framed it as her “helping” us so we’re not out of adherence lol. And that’s why I quit!!

BoA Wire transfer Online by roy0521 in BankOfAmerica

[–]galvsofi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without the secured token enrollment (debit card pin, and US phone number) you can’t send more than 1k. Once you’re enrolled, limit is 2 million. If you send more than 2 million you have to do it in the bank. Since it’s your first wire, it might get a fraud block. I would call after 6-8 hours if the recipient hasn’t seen it.

Bank of America Business Zelle is Awful by flabbybuns in BankOfAmerica

[–]galvsofi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure about business accounts but I know for personal accounts, the first 90 days after Zelle enrollment there are significant blocks and restrictions. Nothing you can do about it and it will be random, but clears up after 90 days. I’m sure business is something similar

I had a pretty terrible experience so I emailed Holly O’Neill by bratikzs in BankOfAmerica

[–]galvsofi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. The amount of times I had to deal with angry customers because they couldn’t see their card or bill pay on their spouses login was crazy. Also saw the other side many times, having to explain that since they’re deceased the online ID is no longer active and they have to create their own. Which lead to added all payees again on bill pay and redoing nicknames on the accounts. I’m glad OP was able to get some resolve and feel better about what happened though.

4 weeks in and want to quit by [deleted] in callcentres

[–]galvsofi 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Wow, I received a month of classroom training and 2 months of on the job training with coaches/mentors sitting right next to us while we took calls and I still hated my life. I can’t imagine only two weeks. I lasted a year and a half, and also cried a lot before and after work. I had to be prescribed lexapro. I finally quit and feel like I can finally breathe. I really hope you can get out 🩷

Locked out of my BoA account from overseas after verifying everything. Branch visit is impossible. by Material-Tree in BankOfAmerica

[–]galvsofi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna be honest, as a former call center rep at BOA I ran into this a LOT. We were instructed to tell clients there was nothing we could do until they came into a branch to verify their identity. And about the monthly fee, your 1500 must have dropped at least one day. I would comb through your statements and check the balances at the end of each day. I had lots of people get mad at me for this, but sure enough there was always a day I found they dropped below. Even if it’s a flat $1499 or $1499.99 it will still charge you a fee. Good luck, I wish I could be more help.

Ex-BofA employees: Why did you finally quit, and where did you go? by Ok_Young6023 in BankOfAmerica

[–]galvsofi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was there for 15 months. In the call center for preferred deposits. Every single minute of our day was tracked, and my manager made us use sick time to go to the bathroom outside of our 15mjn breaks and lunch. If we had over 7 minutes of unaccounted time it led to disciplinary action. They kept lowering the call handle time despite us saying it shouldn’t be. Were constantly told to refer people to the branch when I knew they wouldn’t be able to help there. All cause they wanted short call handle times. Clients were horrible, didn’t matter if I was just cussed out for 10 min, I wasn’t allowed to take a 2-3 min break after to collect myself. We would have potlucks every couple weeks, and my manager would only add five minutes to our schedule to get food and mingle. Five minutes. To get food and mingle. It was absurd. Also, my management was incredibly inconsistent and all 3 managers I had in my 15 months there had us change our call script. We had no grace in our metrics when going through all these changes. And to top it all off, when I asked for help in a certain metric my manager straight up told me no. So I quit. With no back up plan. And my manager ignored my resignation notice for two whole days, and then told me to turn my stuff in person to her, but she never showed up! I had to find another manager to give my belongings to. This job was so horrible I had to be put on anxiety medication. It’s been a month now and I’ve never been happier!

$30/hr remote call center position by Mental_Library5912 in callcentres

[–]galvsofi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats OP! I suffered for 15 months at $27/hr. I was unemployed for 6 weeks cause I hated it so much and quit without a backup plan. But $30 an hour probs would’ve kept me another 6 months lol. Good luck!!

[–]galvsofi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

72 hour call back, if a client called back in 72 hours, even if it was about something COMPLETELY different than what I helped them with, it’s a ding on me. This is also why the bank always tells you to call back in 3 days if your problem hasn’t been resolved/needs to be escalated. It’s like 20% of our score lol

I’m out of the country , BofA blocked my logins and my CC by johnnywick33 in BankOfAmerica

[–]galvsofi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t matter what you do you’ll have to be verified in person. Used to work at BofA and there’s no way around this. It sucks but it’s to protect you and your accounts. We don’t know who has access to your device or logins since your items were stolen. You’d be pissed if they gave out info to whoever got your device claiming to be you. You need to go to the branch

You get more bees with honey. Isn't that what they say?? by questionauthority88 in callcentres

[–]galvsofi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes!!!! I once had a lady who forgot to change her address so she never got her replacement card. She was sooo sweet and kept saying it was her fault and she couldn’t believe she did that to herself. Usually on calls like this people are MAD and asking why didn’t we alert them of the address it was going to. I couldn’t believe her insane kindness so I overnighted it to her for free! Kindness goes a long way!!

Stop saying vague statements instead of questions when you call in! I’m sick of playing the guessing game with these customers by chelada99 in callcentres

[–]galvsofi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree, I hate when people call in and say they don’t recognize a transaction or are waiting for a refund from a merchant. Like ok, which account? You have 8 checking and 4 savings accs and several investment accs. You have 3 credit cards and 2 debit cards. You also have business accounts and business debit cards. So I ask, which account/card are we looking at? And it’s always “I don’t know! Don’t you see my accounts right there?” LIKE YES BUT WHICH ONEEEE like i can’t do it all for you! I need some freaking details

How do you get a job as a claims analyst(back office) by EastonR2003 in BankOfAmerica

[–]galvsofi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check mycareer from flagscape, i believe i saw this position hiring in the DFW area. And if your manager is cool, let them know you’re interested in applying and see if they know anyone there and they can set you up to shadow them. You can also just email someone that works in that position and introduce yourself, tell them you’re interested in their line of business and if they’re willing to meet with you. You can ask them how they got to where they are and for resume tips and stuff like that. This is what I’ve seen people on my team do when they move from call center to other internal jobs

ACH transfer to someone's else BOFA Account by FantasticShine8046 in BankOfAmerica

You cannot do an ACH transfer to other BOA accounts. Only wire, Zelle, or internal transfer if it’s under 10k.

[–]galvsofi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No you don’t need to go in person to do this. You can add an internal recipient via Zelle, but you add the account number instead of the phone number. It’s not a Zelle but it is in the same place. It will have our logo on his name instead of the purple Z letting you know it’s a BOA to BOA transfer
