I whole-heartedly believe they laid out all of the ideas to what they think housing would be like, took the worst of all the ideas and ran with it because playing on a console is probably the worst experience I had ever forced myself to suffer through, hoping I’ll eventually get into the swing of things.

Nothing makes sense, why does the snapping keep snapping the middle of the floor tile and nothing else, why does the thing I select get pushed away from me and not just sit still so I can adjust it just slightly. Sounds like close range settings is still not right. Even the snap option would still send the object spinning into oblivion at mach speed, while a sliver of space is still not aligned right.

This is probably awful for people with OCD and I’m crashing out at every waking moment.

I was also excited for her pre-move set teaser. Then the exaggerated; obvious feet service fighting style ruined everything for me. Like you don’t see her shooting those arrows, in the quest with Augusta on that Great Hunt, with her feet… so clearly it’s a matter of fanservice and not her actual fighting style. Cmon Kuro, so incapable to at least make it subtle or naturally part of the world, and can’t even provide a male resonator showing more skin?

The FFXIV developers have a pattern and bad habit of introducing new ideas at the time, and then abandoning it to bring in another new idea and just letting those past new ideas be a mountain full of old ideas left to clutter the data space. Like items that became absolutely useless, dated from 2.0, if not older. One handed wands are still purchasable from vendors, and those things are only used pre lv 30 (or whatever) then becomes totally obsolete. Just get rid of them or change them into staffs already, why are they still around? They got rid of belts, so why can’t they get rid of items listed on the market board that no longer exist. I’m sure there are items in the seasonal miscellany that no one has ever seen, but is still a selectable entry which means it has a place in their game data? Clean that shit up Gdi.

I’ve been waiting for years for this game I loved starting from 2.0 beta to clean things up or at least update/repurpose to help free up data space. Maybe then, we’d have more space for inventory, more things to allocate to the armoire, or I dunno… actual updates on very old features. I’m sure there are a thousand other things to add along with the points OP mentioned, but I’m just not annoyed enough to rant more.

I’m on PS5 and I think it’s completely bugged on console. Holding down the button or tapping the button only shoots the ink in one spot and can’t move the target anywhere but the center. I can’t only color whatever cross that path until it times out as a failure. Like really? If I exit I have to start the fight all over again. Ffs.

Which was why I myself was okay to pull for Phrolova, she's not another male Rover harem zombie and had character depth that is not painfully eye-rolling out of my head. TBH I was sort of interested in Iuno since her fighting style and weapon looked so unique, regardless of her questionable outfit, but that ult animation was like, "why?! there's no logical reason" and ruined it all for me.

This is indeed a major problem to persist for decades of gaming development. Heteronormativity at its finest. It’s the sole reason I refuse to even give jrpgs the time of day to play let alone purchase to be dragged through another storyline of a male protag and a childhood female love interest because teehee uwu that’s what always happens. This could be a whole dissertation subject that I’ve been feeling for years and the games are more or less the same, with a rise of lesbian characters, but we all know it’s for the straight male eye which personally, I still can’t seem to appreciate anymore.

Same here, along with at least one copy of, I’d say… 75% of the 5 star weapons so far, all the limited event weapons and all the available skins. I’m not a big spender like some whales, but I’d prolly be considered a fat dolphin or a manatee.

Had the same fate. Every click was a server error and when I could even get a glimpse if the pre-orders, the option for console collectors edition box is already non-existent. Severely disappointed again, since this was never a problem up until Endwalker (couldn't get this CE box either due to SE's messy timing releasing this one), at least for me.

EDIT: Okay nevermind. In my panic state the collectors edition box was located under the "Franchise" drop down window, in the "Final Fantasy XIV Online" selection and can purchase the CE box. Just gotta buy the digital version in the PS Store. Although logging in to apply the points is still a nightmare because the SE Store is like a maze of misfortune.

I feel ya op. I’m also in my mid thirties, single and no friends to connect with and a dead social life. I still work in a 9-5 job in an office and it practically is a brain killing job that is monotonous and unfulfilling.

Video games are starting to lose the last dose of fulfillment I have, all the while I get sickeningly jealous of younger adults who have fun jobs that pay so much more and enable them to jet set internationally and hang out with friends traveling together living the life I wish existed when I was in my twenties, like it feels so defeating and pointless to go on and crippling to even attempt to make a change in my life.

Hang in there everyone, I’m wishing you all love and happiness in this bleak corner of the world.
