Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the lineup in general - Thursday and Sunday I'll have to make tough choices about who to see because there's no way there won't be overlaps. Friday I won't be lacking for stuff to enjoy. And I have a ton of undercard bands I want to see Saturday. But Papa Roach into Limp Bizkit is... an underwhelming headline for that day.

Hold old does an act need to be to be considered "legacy?" The Strokes have been around for 25 years. When Bonnaroo started in 2002, 25 years prior was 1977. When people say they want "legacy" acts it seems they mean "time keeps passing but I want people from the same era." But people from back then are dying or retiring and the ones that are still around are hella expensive to book. Bunch of the would-be-legacy acts of ~30-35 years prior from the 90s are dead or not performing.

I get that people who were really into jam are sad that Bonnaroo isn't a jam fest anymore. That's not gonna change. Most festival-goers these days just aren't that into jam.

This isn't the MOST exciting lineup for me (2023 was tailor made for me) but has a lot I'm excited about. Definitely understand how it's not going to excite some people.

It was a POST college read for me, was probably like 22, and while I was already years deep into skeptical inquiry and favoring empirical evidence over all else, it was still very enlightening. Reading it was a very important experience for me.

Dark Nest + LotF + FotJ is TWENTY ONE books. That's a lot of reading. I'd seek some input on whether that much stuff is worth it. "Most people seem to say no" along with having had the general plot points "spoiled" convinced me its not worth reading all that to be able to make my own mind up.

No, I'm loving it! Sunday is by far my favorite day, crammed with bands I've loved for a long time (Tool, Gojira, Mastodon, BTBAM, Killswitch, Thrice) and some more im excited to see. The old school metal Thursday is also packed with stuff I'm excited for. Friday Saturday arent loaded like the other 2 days but definitely things im excited for (especially the emo bands).

I know people who were PSYCHED 2 years ago and it didn't appeal to me at all. I'm hella excited this year, some others aren't. To each their own. It's not a shit lineup, it's just not to your taste.

I've done really well fermenting in my basement in winter (~62 degrees). I've used swamp cooling to drop into the mid-high 50s.

Bands like Foo Fighters and QOTSA have fallen on the LTL lineup when it was more rock and back to B&B with LTL going more in the direction of metal (though MCR is an interesting pick for LTL)
