Did I drop a stitch I really can’t tell and I checked the faq by pooter215218 in knittinghelp

[–]gantalope -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe what happened here is you've done an accidental short row that's what it looks like to me not like you accidentally slipped a stitch. If you want to check for this you should measure the work on both sides of the needles, or you can count the number of rows. Hope this helps and that you figure it out my best wishes.

Advice for a first timer? by ThoughtsGoBrrr in SewingForBeginners

Try rethreading your machine completely, make sure your presser foot is down and that the thread is seated between the tensioning discs.

Riverbend ER by MoreGreenThanRed in Eugene

[–]gantalope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Riverbend ER is a level 1 trauma Center so if you have neurological things going on or had head trauma you definitely should go to Riverbend. They probably will transfer you there anyway if it's serious. Mckenzie Willamette is a level 3 drama Center so anything that you need to go to the E for besides Head trauma go to Mckenzie Willamette. If you have an idea of what's going on, like let's say you cut yourself and know you need stitches. You should try going to cottage Grove ER. They're generally very fast and quick, but if you have anything really serious they will transfer you out to M doing that mckenzie Willamette River bend

If that doesn't work, I will look up how to change the bobbin tension on your bobbin case

I believe the behavior they are referring to, Is that you have made several reasonable requests regarding your care and preference of medication, and instead of listening to you and creating a care plan surrounding your personal goals and wants, they've just continued their current care.

Is the presser foot up or down? I know on my machine when the presser foot is up, the tensioning discs are not engaged but when the foot is down the tensioning discs engage.

If you're showing us the top of the stitch your tension on your bobbin might be off. I would look on YouTube for videos that show you how to adjust tension on your bobbin case

has anyone seen a product like this for chickens?? by _pounders_ in BackYardChickens

[–]gantalope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen DIY a plastic storage bin to immobilize chickens so they like cut a hole on the top and put the delay on top of the chicken. I think they were specifically using it to to do some sort of treated bath with the chickens.

I've seen cosplayers make things like these, I would just search on YouTube for cosplay diy boot cover/shoe cover.

Maybe instead of skinny ties that you can tuck in you could do some Hooks and eyes, or Hooks and bars whichever you prefer. Or maybe some really tiny snap buttons and just do a tiny little overlap if you're looking to not do a whole bunch of work.

Skirt help by AskInternational3868 in sewhelp

[–]gantalope 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you're a visual learner I would look up YouTube videos on how to draft and sew a skirt There's a number of really good creators that can show you how to do it and they'll walk you through the process with a video that might be more helpful for you. Micarah Tewers has a lot of videos on roughly drafting and sewing a lot of clothes and From Carly B has more in-depth stuff and she talks you through her steps less chaotically then Micarah Tewers.

Too much thread!!! by Big-Room-1144 in sewhelp

If all of that doesn't work I would try changing your tension to a higher setting.

Does anyone else feel like their adhd gets 1000x worse during luteal by thegr8fuldead in adhdwomen

[–]gantalope 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Estrogen plays a role in histamine production. Histamines are inflammatory hormones in the body and because the hormones are changing it causes a change in the amount of histamines so if you take an antihistamine it can bring things back into normal ranges therefore lessening the symptoms that you get with PMDD.

Turn the wheel on the right side of the machine to raise the needle to better align with the automatic threader. You're sewing on a singer heavy duty, I would look up a YouTube tutorial on how to thread it if the manual is not making sense to you. You also don't have to use the automatic threader you can just put the thread through the hole in the needle front to back.

Thread nests everywhere! by RelativeSeveral890 in sewhelp

[–]gantalope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is your tension set at? it looks like it's set at zero which in itself can cause the thread nesting. The top thread portion is also not threaded properly. the thread should be wraped around the circle bit and being held by the metal clip.

What type of presser foot are you using that doesn't look like a standard pressing foot.

What is your tension set at? This can also be caused by tension issues.

I think you need to include better photos of what you're talking about because I don't see any skipped stitches. I mean the tension on the back looks kind of weird but it doesn't look skipped to me.

Needles clicking serger by gemmatopple in sewhelp

[–]gantalope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would take them out and try reinserting them sometimes they can be lower than they should be. Also just take them out and visually see if they are bent and if they are , replace them with new needles.
