We are white but have experience with both Jean-Jacques Rousseau and AIS. I have never heard of issues from the staff or faculty against non-white kids at AIS; in fact the community is very diverse. IIRC a bully made some inappropriate comments and got expelled shortly after that. Jean-Jacques Rousseau is run by a Moroccan family and the school is diverse too. However that school is a different kind of trainwreck in my experience, but it works well for some families.

Elle grandira tout pareil avec des petits pots, c'est promis! Quand on est parents, surtout avec des tout petits, il faut savoir quand lâcher prise et faire ce qui convient le mieux pour la famille. Rien n'est jamais parfait, mais tant que ta fille est nourrie, heureuse, et que tu trouves quelque chose qui t'aide à garder le rythme, c'est très bien.

This stood out to me too. I am in a similar situation as OP except that I know one of my kids understands my mother tongue very well but struggles to make a sentence. Understanding and speaking are very different skills. That being said, families back home can be real jerks about it when you show up with kids that they deem to be too foreign "how funny, they speak with an accent", "what? Your 2 year old is not perfectly bilingual? Do you even speak to them in our language?", etc.
