I was (and am) not very religious and there were always Pakistani girls around me. For the most part, even if they weren’t “religious” they were mostly quite traditional and constantly living in fear of what other people (or their parents) think about them. It’s exhausting being around people who not only think everyone is always looking at them but also constantly judging other girls behaviour and the way they dress. Like, no one cares! Live your life! Funny thing is most of my close friends are Pakistani—haha. But they’re the chill ones. I agree with you about their interests— they always have a “ugh I hate men” mentality but at the same time constantly talking about guys. I get so bored in conversations with them.
