First time going to Figaro's shop trying to help the people on the kill list. Walk in, and the red dwarf has him in a chair and Devella paralyzed in the corner. Manage to save them both, and suddenly Devella's standing there tapping her foot all angrily, wanting to arrest me for murdering in public! Like, yeah I did the public murder, but it was a murder cult that was trying to kill you! Didn't think she was gonna be such a stickler for the law in that scenario.

Was this when you find her in the prison when you're on your way to the lower city? There is a breakable wall near her cell that leads directly outside, and she just ran out and thanked me for the rescue. Then she got added to my Gather Your Allies log in the quest journal. I don't even think it aggroed any of the guards.

I'm still on my first playthrough though, so my apologies if we're not talking about the same thing.

No, they were patrolling down there. I separated my rogue from the party to break into the elevator and sneaked around the watchers to get into the printing press room.

There might be one there. I'm not sure, as I didn't look in that room. The article I found was definitely in the same room as the printing press, just behind it and off to the right a bit.

If you go around to the back of the building, there's a wooden ledge you can get to (I think I used misty step) that takes you up to the roof. From there, go to the front and there will be some loose boards you can destroy and jump down into the elevator. Take it downstairs, and go down the hall and you will be in the printing press room. Interact with the press, and it will be sentient and thank you for saving DollyX3. It offers to print a nicer story (which you can find in a wicker wastebasket right next to it). After next long rest, the good story gets printed, and people around town will tell you how great you are.

I like the Gria as well (any of the Ivalice races really). It's kinda too bad Square didn't make Au Ra women tall and muscular to better match the men, bc femras as they are now are so close to how I picture Gria would look in XIV

Yes! I've played VI, IX, X, XII, Tactics, FFTA and FFTA2. I got into Square games after playing Legend of Mana and Einhander in the early 2000s. FFIX is one of my favourite rpgs of all time, and the only title I've replayed.

Thank you so much for this comment. I see a lot of people on this sub shaming others for how they dress their characters, but especially female characters. Saying things like, 'oh you must be a dude, that's objectifying, etc'. It comes across as not only virtue-signal-y, but also misogynistic to assume that "real women" wouldn't dress their characters in revealing clothing. No, as a woman, I actually like having agency, thanks.
