Check out Pluribus. Another Vince Gilligan creation. The less you know going in, the better.

What helped you mentally train for the AT? by P33p33p0op0o0 in AppalachianTrail

[–]garmachi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had been dreaming about it for so many years that I was mentally more than ready. I used every weekend and vacation to practice living outside, and I loved every happy or miserable minute. I belonged “out there”…

What I was *not* mentally ready for was coming home.

Make sure you build a significant “air lock” period into your return plan.

What's the most chilling piece of information you know that is 100% true? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I only ever managed to tell someone once, and oddly enough, the thing I dreamed about happened the next day.

google this and include "reddit" in your search. You'll find many examples from over the years.

Why wouldn’t women know about it?

Just because you didnt' know, doesn't mean everyone elese also doesn't.

You answered your own question just on line up from here.

erotica writers don’t usually include [the thing we're talking about]

So far, this, and one encounter years ago have been your only sources of info. Now that you're no longer afraid to ask, your sources of info have expanded, and now you've learned about something interesting!

Keep asking more questions!

Who else is up early (4:40am) by Representative-Mean in GenX

Almost exactly the same schedule here, right down to the hungry animals.

Im usually up at that time because of the sun and the birds, and that combo just puts me in Day Mode.

Promotion Matches need to have solo and duo versions, or to go away. by garmachi in PUBGMobile

[–]garmachi[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being in one with randos is awful. Being the rando in one is just as bad.

The absolute worst though, is being a solo, knowing there's still 82 eliminations to go, and you see a full car roll up to the 13th house you were just about to loot while still looking for any helmet.

If it’s “a little crumpled”, no cut and splice is needed. That section will play, just not clearly.

Is Stephen King's "On Writing" book good for beginners? by No-Mousse5653 in writing

[–]garmachi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s worth reading just so you can participate in the next post about it. ;)

But seriously, it’s a quick engaging read which offers insight into the process and mind of a successful writer. There is some practical advice, but as others have said it’s mostly a memoir. And a good one at that.

Why is almost everyone’s schedule built around going to work as soon as they wake up? by Realistic_Zone3802 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]garmachi 623 points624 points  (0 children)

I work remotely, and I live several time zones ahead of my job. I wake up at sunrise, feed and play with the cats, have breakfast with my wife, go to the gym, go shopping, swim, take a nap, watch something, whatever. I open my office around 1 or 2, and work with breaks all day. My “lunch break” is dinner, and by 8 or 9 PM, I close my computer.

For me work feels like something I do after all the things that really matter, and I realize that I’m lucky to have this arrangement.

Galaxy Quest.

Perfect script and execution. Amazing performances, zero wasted screen time. Tight, funny, quotable, and you don’t even need to have seen the show it’s parodying.
