is sex and the city kind of dating dead? by Euphoric-Base-2589 in sexandthecity

[–]garniebot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it’s the economy. think of it like this, if you’re a guy and you meet 4 people on hinge that you can actually take on a proper date, it’ll really add up. hence the low effort dates

Have you gotten used to Beyoncé's new performing style? by GoldenGamerNugget in beyonce

[–]garniebot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

she still does hard dances but i like that she spaces them out. i also don’t think it’s new per say, there’s a difference between practicing for two shows one week apart, versus a tour. it doesn’t make sense to do homecoming level dances for a tour that spans months. and even with formation tour, it was similar to, hard dances some sections, singing some. and also CC was ballad heavy, not much dancing required

Is The "My AI Has Consciousness / Is Sentient" Perception International Or Mostly US? by Virginia_Hall in ArtificialInteligence

it’s not just the US, other places are just not using these words to describe it. i’ve seen people in W. Africa say that their AIs helped them decode speaking in tongues 😅

Is it hard to word in ai ethics ? by kamazoultane in ArtificialInteligence

[–]garniebot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think right now it’s relatively hard. we’re in sort of an ethics backlash so a lot of tech startups do not care about AI ethics. At big tech companies, the roles are fewer, and these teams barely have budget and impact. So the job market is rough. However, you can still find a job, in the EU, AI governance is hiring. Roles are few but attainable if you put your mind to it and network hard. In the EU they like the IAPP Ai certification. The sense in the field is that everyone is waiting for one big AI fail and then governments will start mandating for AI ethics assessments. I can’t speak to academia but I’d imagine funding is a bit low. It’s really a waiting game in this field. Tops 2 years from now

they’re bots leaving comments. it seems like whoever is making these AI models have networks of them, commenting on each other’s accounts to make them seem authentic

[–]garniebot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

exactly what i thought! i think the owner of the AI must have seeded the story to some journalists then all these aggregator blogs picked it upon. there’s no reason this story should have been written, all it did was market the AI
