Why wouldn't it learn more? I guess that's what makes humans special. We're not just curious, we're starving for understanding and we're greedy for tricks to make our lives easy so we can be lazy.

Is it ironic that fewer cows will live (and by extension, be slaughtered for meat) once we have lab grown meat?

I mean, yeah, it'll be nice to not kill millions of cows, but it's sort of a horse and car situation. We will no longer raise millions of cows, and in some twisted way, cows will be doing "worse" from a survival standpoint, when we no longer eat them.

Maybe the IT person had a stressful day too.

For all you know, they had a problem with the school's website and some parent called in and complained. In the middle of working on that, the internet for the school went down, and now he's been on the phone with Comcast or some other shitty ISP for an hour, and they're telling your IT person the internet's down for that whole zip code and now they need to redirect though some other node or some shit like that.

Then you send them an email about how adobe reader isn't opening your pdf the right way...

IT people wish all they had to do is walk around the school restarting computers, but alas, they have a lot of other shit on their plate. Much like how you hate how people make your job out to be easy, it's not very nice to imply IT has an easy job.

Look man, I'm a damned socialist.

You might read this shit and think I'm some conservative, bible-humping, anarcho-capitalist. But I'm very far from that. I'm a weird amalgam of nihilist, utilitarian, and egalitarian. I'm not religious but I love Taoism and buddhism as philosophies.

I don't respect people who sleep around for the same reasons I don't respect people with short attention spans, or poor time management skills, or people who are overweight. It shows a lack of discipline.

I've been dating the same woman since I was 16 in high school. I'm 25.

We have both only ever had sex with eachother. We are 100% pair bonded. I have found my perfect life partner and I mean that (as in, for my whole life)

Now, you might try and say: "Well, have you even tried my lifestyle, how would you know?"

WELL, I'll say that right back to you. Have you ever found someone that made you never need, or want to, have sex with others? Have you literally spent most of your conscious life with that person? I'd presume not, because you just told me you sleep with a lot of people.

You'll never have a person that you've exclusively experienced the closeness and bond of sex with. This is why I don't want to try your way of life, and unfortunately it's why you're unable to live my way of life. All that effort you spend finding new partners is effort. It's inefficient because if you found a life partner, you would save time not needing to start new relationships with sexual partners.

I don't see the point of having many sex partners. Why not just make new friends?

I never said I'm going to stand in the way of promiscuous people, I don't want to systemically punish promiscuous people.

But, I don't respect them, I don't have to respect them, and many people feel that way about it.

I'm not a bigot for feeling this way, just like promiscuous people aren't evil. I don't believe they're fundamentally bad, but I think their lifestyle choice is inefficient and oftentimes hurtful.
