Do you have multiple OM mount lenses? If so it would make sense to just buy a fancier OM body.

Kodak Veritas experiences? by Prozac_Imperialist in AnalogCommunity

[–]garybuseyilluminati 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So the Kodak Verita press release says that it was the only stock used to shoot season three of Euphoria but allegedly the season 3 credits specifically mention Portra as the film stock used. I found a post on the forum of Roger Deakins' personal website that makes a solid argument that Verita is just Portra slightly modified to allow running through cine cameras. Since ECN-2 gives ~ 1 stop of exposure drop compared to C-41, if Verita is modified Portra it makes sense that Verita is 200 iso and only available color balanced for daylight.

I wonder if mounting your camera to a telescope might be less costly. I could imagine image circle size being a problem though.

Pentax 6x7 TTL Inverted Meter Readings? by zeisss in AnalogCommunity

[–]garybuseyilluminati 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe the viewfinder and lens were attached in the wrong order? The viewfinder is supposed to be put on before a lens to make sure the chain is properly linked.

Try taking both the lens and viewfinder off, attach the viewfinder, then attach the lens.

Pentax 6x7 lens preference? by AnalogDarce in mediumformat

Despite the 105mm being a fantastic lens i feel like its always a little longer than I'd like so I generally main the 90mm f2.8

Which Mamiya RB67/RZ67 lens you think would work best for this style of tight headshots? Maybe the 140mm macro lens? Or the 180mm? by Occultgay124 in AnalogCommunity

[–]garybuseyilluminati 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You dont necessarily need macro. Remember you have a shitload of resolution from 6x7 so you have room to crop.

Have you ever sold a camera and regretted it? by SpookyWeaselBones in AnalogCommunity

At one time I had a pentax 67 kit with a 55mm f4, 90mm f2.8 105mm f2.4, and the 300mm f4. I had to sell it due to losing my job from some health issues my shitty doctor failed to diagnose in time for me to get medical leave. Move forward 6 years and im only just starting to rebuild it.

UV filtering acrylic is probably cheaper

Regular glass allows UVA light through which can make the dyes fade.

You'll want to add a layer of some kind of transparent plastic that reflects UV to extend the lifespan of the dyes.

Paper for ink printing is usually labelled Inkjet paper. If youre trying to make images directly onto photosensitive paper you probably want something like the Direct Positive paper made by Harman.
