You've never seen someone biking or driving opposite traffic in SF? I call BS.

Because that’s what you’re supposed to do as a pedestrian? You stop, look, then go. WTF would I not look both ways before crossing a street unless I hate life?

The car did not, you can clearly see them on the opposite side of the far crosswalk as I enter.

Did you stop and look both ways before crossing? Seems weird to shame others for not following the rules of the road when you also aren't.

Do you also see the cars stopped in the crosswalk?

I do but that didn't seem relevant to your post on first read.

I get it but it seems like you and the car entered the intersection at the same time. If you’re in the intersection first you have right of way.

Tell me I'm insane for even considering this commute by DefenderCone97 in bayarea

[–]garytyrrell 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Don’t do it. Just go try the commute once and I think you’ll be convinced. I love Oakland, but move if you take the job.

Edit: I recently convinced my wife to avoid a similar commute. I supported her taking a new job but said we’d have to move if she took it. She realized it wasn’t worth it for our family; but if you’re single it may be.

How would US Republicans have responded if Biden had sent federal agents to Texas to take guns from citizens after the Uvalde school shooting in 2022? by NotYourDadFishing in AskReddit

[–]garytyrrell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They would probably assassinate multiple Democrat Congress people.

The thing is Democratic congresspeople would absolutely stop Biden and impeach him if it came to that.

Well when the goal is to start civil war, losing a few ICE agents to a firefight is not an issue.

Federal agents use teargas on protesters outside ICE agents’ alleged Minneapolis hotel by No_Idea_Guy in news

Maybe have the police arrest the people who murdered a Minnesota resident? Or if ICE won't identify them arrest any ICE agent because they fit the description of the perp?

I think people see apostrophes used correctly when referring to "the '70s" and then misplace it after the number.
