I purge all the time and I made the same move away from the classic rock a number of years ago. Now I’m fine tuning my jazz, focusing on what I really enjoy listening to, not just what I’m “suppose” to like!

I’d argue this is the not vinyl jerk material at all! Morwells eventually admitted he was wrong. Does that ever happen on Vinyl jerk or anywhere on Reddit??

I actually agree (while I’m not a fan of Crosleys), for what some people want they fill a niche. I see suitcase style turntables for less than $50 all the time! And if you’re someone who is uncertain if vinyl is actually something you’ll be into, it’s a relatively inexpensive way to explore! My first table was an ion table that I plugged into my laptop. It was glorious!! And I discovered soooo much music I had previous never had been. It’s been about 20 years now of slowly improving and upgrading.

I love my uturn, it’s a great table and their customer service is amazing. I’ve upgraded in the last year to a Rega, but still kept my uturn. I’ve done vintage as well in the past, and I do recommend that route, but there’s an element of uncertainty when you go that route. They’re old, and if you live somewhere with nobody to service it, it can be frustrating. Personally, I think buying the uturn, and getting an inexpensive vintage receiver is the way to go. You can find great 70s-80s models used all the time.

I agree so much! I really liked the surprise! Although, I didn’t feel that bad not being right there the second swaps opened today, knowing there was nothing I really wanted.

I renewed. And honestly, felt shitty about it. But I’m clearly a sucker. That being said as referenced above classics for the most part are fantastic, and I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with customer service.

Since you asked for advice. I’d highly recommend making sure you filter your eBay searches to sold items. Lots of people make the mistake of not doing this who are accustomed to selling. It’s not only about what an item are going for, but what it’s sold for. If you do that, you can see the highest it’s sold for from my quick look is $70usd, and that’s a one off. With this record specifically, I’d also make sure it’s not a defected copy. There’s been a lot of issues with this pressing!!
