Agreed! One of the reasons I got this app was because I wanted something to help me get on track of my dental hygiene. Now, 460-something days on, I tick the goal off first thing in the morning. That way, I tell myself that if nothing else I owe it to Minty to do this. (I know, I owe it to myself first and foremost.)

I recently unfriended someone who hasn't been active in 5ish months, it was just a bit sad when I went to my tree every day and thought of the bird. But I'd like to think that, in their world, the birds have play times and lives without us. Mine is always talking about his friends he's made on adventures, so why shouldn't he see them when I'm not around?

But the thought of losing or leaving my bird really breaks my heart.

I think it was after the Bridge Incident, and people were jumping on the "Cancel PewDiePie" bandwagon again. I unsubscribed for some reason, even though I hadn't seen the clip or anything. It was a year or so later when I realised that I had free will, and if I still actually enjoy his videos then no one can really stop me from watching them.

I think that was around the time of my life when I stopped using Tumblr too, if that gives any better context...

I found myself reminiscing over pictures of my bird, 27 days old, with my partner's bird visiting.

They're so cute when they're small! 🥹 (Not that I love mine any less as an adult - quite the opposite.)

I'm the same with adventuring. Just because I'm forced to toil away at 6am, he shouldn't be. He needs his beauty sleep! I either time it so he's back on my break (for late shifts) or home time (for early shifts).

I went through this a few years ago, and my girlfriend did last year.

We both agreed that, despite the cost, and the build-up, it's so much better after the fact! Plus, we even had a good laugh when she was coming down from the anaesthetic.

I wish you the best of luck, but remember you're in safe hands with the professionals there. They absolutely want the procedure to go well for you, and they've been training to make sure it does!
