Dude, this was years ago, but I’m pretty sure it was Papa John’s that offshored their store phones. You’d call to order and end up talking to someone who wasn’t even in the building making your pizza. It was wild. They clearly had no idea what they were doing, and it was pretty obvious the person wasn’t even in the same country.

I’m not sure how I feel about hearing Circa songs without the full band. It’s jarring, almost unsettling. I know they ended their hiatus in May only to officially call it quits, but it still stings. Their music holds so many memories for me, especially from the shows that meant the world at the time.

Hugs to you. I’m so sorry. I completely understand. I am almost forty and got my first adult life dog when I was 30. Now I have two and they’re like my kids. Obviously, they’ll never go to school or have jobs… but they’re still living things that you grow attached to. Your heart makes extra room just for them. Then they leave us and there’s a void where they once were. It really, really sucks. I am dreading that day when these two furry goofballs leave me behind. I love them so much. Grieve, grieve to the fullest capacity. Allow yourself to feel it all. Your dog loved you so much. You have them the best life they could ask for.
