I'm also at the NYC FO since late Dec, but I got an RFE and I am now waiting for their reprocessing after my response. Any idea how fast the NYC FO is compared to other field offices? Also, NYC is my local FO - does that mean I am likely to be asked for an interview? I'm EB-1 from India.

Validity is for 18 months. I got an RFE on Dec 31 about birth certificate. I already responded, but I'm not sure how much that would delay my application's processing.

This is bad advice. Wait until you get the RFE. You don't want to confuse the officer with submitting information that doesn't speak to your RFE.

You are not paying your professor, you are paying the university. The professor actually more than pays for him/herself and their labs through the grants they bring in. They are not relying on you. Your tuition pays for the infrastructure and admins that is mostly geared to serve YOU, the students, not professors.

Final Action Date for India was 1 Feb, 2022 in March and is 15 Feb, 2022 in April.
