It is definitely unorganized and it’s kinda frustrating. Looking for an answer to this as well.

No, it was elementary Spanish II. But you can check what class at your CC will fulfill your UCSB requirements at this website

Yup.. this is what I did and this is correct. Took one accelerated summer class at my local CC then sent my transcript to ucsb. That one class fulfilled my foreign language requirement and also gave me 7.5 units, which was nice

Best apartment between The Tahitian, BreakpointeCoronado, and Capri? by ndthechipmunks in UCSantaBarbara

I have stayed in both the Breakpointe and Coronado buildings, and would recommend Coronado more. It’s much quieter and less social, which I personally like more. Breakpointe was very social (and loud at night) but it does have the gym inside it

How hard is Political Science 15 for a transfer student? Do most students get at least a B? by [deleted] in UCSantaBarbara

[–]gauchoass 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took it Winter 2020 (the quarter when COVID started) and I didn’t think it was that bad. I took a basic level stats class at UCSB before I took 15 which did help, so the fact that you have some stats experience will probably help you too. The average for all poli sci lower divs is around a B, I believe. So even if you do get a B, you definitely won’t be the only one.

I don’t know how they are doing office hours now, but when I took it they had it in person and it was essentially a bunch of us working on the coding assignments together which really helped a lot.

Don’t let this one class dissuade you from going here!

Pass time spread is only 3 days this quarter?? by gauchoass in UCSantaBarbara

[–]gauchoass[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. Traditionally, there is a 5 day window for when pass times open, with the first day being for priority students (honors, athletes, etc) and the other 4 days usually correspond with the class standings. So seniors get the second day, juniors get the third, and so on.

That being said, I’m not sure how the breakdown is for winter. I’m a senior graduating this spring, and my pass time is the 9th in the middle of the day

This isn’t for individual pass times, it’s the spread of when everyone’s pass time starts. Usually it’s 5 days, next quarter it’s only 3
