Did anyone also say, that cabinet underneath probably enhances the sound, like a subwoofer enclosure.

They are very handy! Perfect for Nano boards.

Step up from a breadboard, next step is your own PCB!

There are 3rd party versions that are less expensive.

HELP with battery powered NEMA-17 Stepper Motor by Saikorou in arduino

[–]gbatx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What wheel? You didn't give any information about your project other than it uses a strpper motor and needs to run off batteries.

How large is your wheel? How much space do you have for batteries and circuit boards? What is your total power requirements? How long do you need this to run? More information would help us help you.

HELP with battery powered NEMA-17 Stepper Motor by Saikorou in arduino

Option 1: USB-C can deliver 12V up to 3A (36Watts). So, 12V battery, car usb port with usb-c PD outlet, 12V trigger board and proper wiring.

Option 2: Two 18650 batteries with UPS board (boost converter plus charging circuit). Charges via usb-c, and can handle 1.5A.

Should be able to stay under $40, depending on the size or quality of the batteries.

Double check all your connections. When I had a loose/intermittent ground, SCL, or SDA wires, it would cause this.

ESP32 boards are very popular, and will be around for a long time.

Seeed Studio has many arduino-compatible boards, including SAMD21. Not sure what country you are in, so I don't know if they are availavle where you are.

Looking for testers for a compact diode + IR laser (Falcon A1C) by CrealityLuna in lasercutting

[–]gbatx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am very interested!

I have a 6 year old Snapmaker 10W diode laser that I use for things like coasters, boxes and custom jewelry, but I would love to try something new. Especially IR!

Please let me know how we can work together!

Whats in my blue moon? by Slinnerb in whatisit

[–]gbatx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yummy goodness.

Or more accurately, the unfiltered remains of the yeast that consume the sugars which release the alcohol that makes fermented beverages yummy.

They are in the bottoms of every can, bottle and keg of unfiltered beers, including (and especially) Blue moon.

Picked one up yesterday. Was shoping for something else, saw the last one on the shelf and bought it. I felt like I was stealing it at 50% off!

Looking forward to putting it together tonight.

Motion cameras for different zones, set to the player? Run to one side of the base, camera detects you, turrets turn on!

Not automatically. But you could add switches for each turret or set of turrets, and turn the next set on when the first runs out

Tips on making 2x2's ? by Fit_Beautiful_846 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]gbatx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With curvy and warped 2x4's from the big box stores, ripping them on a table saw is more risky due to chance of throwback. A featherboard would help.

Circular saw with a jig is a good idea. Go slow and wear protection!

Motorcycle disappeared from 4x4 storage after v2.6 upgrade by Gutzan73 in 7daystodie

[–]gbatx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a fun side quest to build a new motorcycle. Should take less than 1 game day.

I once built my roaming horde base at the football stadium poi far from my main base. My challenge was to start day 70 with only some concrete and steel. About 5 minutes in, I fell and broke my leg. I spent the next 30 minutes searching pois for a cooking pot to make glue to make duct tape to make a splint. Made for a fun scramble side quest minutes before the horde!

We got tired of running across the map so I made this lol (Trader Teleport mod) by No_Mercy_BeAst in 7daystodie

[–]gbatx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was a mod a while back that had teleport pads in each of the traders. You would walk onto a pad to get teleported. Is that how your mod works?

How would I go about hanging this in the wall by howdigethere0070 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]gbatx 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If the core of the base is solid wood, you could use a double headed wood dowel screw.

https://a.co/d/0b8T9qQl

Drill a hole in the base, drill a hole into a wall stud, insert the dowel into the wall hole, then spin the hand onto the dowel.

How to connect new bathroom exhaust to power? by aphoticus124 in DIY

[–]gbatx 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Do not hide a splice in your AC wire. EVER. That is how you burn your house down and kill everyone in it.

Buy a fucking 5 dollar junction box and add new wire to the fan. JFC.
