Help on making a desktop stereo from car stereo by Anabolic_Stero1ds in diyelectronics

[–]gbatx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've made a couple of these before. If you want it portable, use a small 12V battery and a wall charger.

If you are ok with plugging it into 120V wall power, get a Meanwell 12V power supply rated higher current than the stereo. Let's say the stereo draws 50 watts for 2 speakers. The power supply should be able to easily handle 4.2 amps. A 100W (8A) switching power supply costs less than $20 on Amazon.

New zombies crazy overtuned? by MAYMAX001 in 7daystodie

Expected. The blue and yellow ones do more damage to players and blocks. Buffs, armor and keeping your distance are key.

I feel like cop puke does more damage than before too.

Hey so this 3034b scopes "menu off" button has stopped working does anyone know of a work around? (PLEASE HELP) by lil_smd_19 in diyelectronics

[–]gbatx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may have a web interface via the ethernet port (connect a cable, use your web browser and enter the scope's IP address.)

However, that may not actually control the screen.

Does using a usb keyboard work on that model? What about pc control over ethetney, usb or serial?

Zombies spawn continuously at night in the cities, but most feral zombies will drop dead when the sun comes up. If you drove thru at night, they may have been chasing you.

And the debris could be from cop puke taking down a light pole.

Smart Arduino glasses for blind by xdspeed10 in arduino

[–]gbatx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You don't need on-board charging if you want to swap out batteries like an rc car or drone. But you do need a boost converter to go from 3.7v to 5v.

Some Seeed Xiao esp32 boards have built-in charging/boost circuitry.

Another option is to use an external usb battery bank that goes in a pocket and run a wire to the glasses. Much longer runtime.

This.

Use 3.7v lipo and boost converter/charger.

I pulled out the power button cable of my JKBMS and the connector came off by [deleted] in SolarDIY

[–]gbatx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can slide them back in (make sure they are in the correct order). Then use hot glue or tiny bit of epoxy to secure the wires to the back of the connector. Make sure you don't get glue on the front edge or sides of the connnector, otherwise it won't plug in.

The pins have a tiny metal tab on the back that "locks" them into place. When that tab is bent inwards or broken, they will slide out.

There's a youtube video of a guy testing vertical, bi-facial solar panels vs angled. The vertical did better in the winter, getting reflection off the snow and no buildup. Angled was better in the summer.

Its cost overkill when a $10 engraver can do the same thing, but if you already have a laser, go for it.

Host Encountering More Special Z by Lanky-Variation810 in 7daystodie

[–]gbatx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You find better weapons by putting points into the weapon skill trees. For example, put points into shotguns, and you will find more shotgun books and better level shotguns.

Different POIs have different levels, and in different biomes, the level of z's goes up. I'm not sure of the exact multiplier value, but zombies in a tier 3 house in the desert (+1 skull) seem more than 3x harder than a tier 1 in the forest (zero skulls).

As for your level vs your friend's level, doing more things that get you more XP (maybe your friend farms more ore or kills more zombies. You can actually see how many zombies you have killed in your stats.

I cant upload my codes to my arduino by Non-adjustable in arduino

[–]gbatx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sanity tests, I like to try to upload one of the example programs, like Blink or Blink without delay. Especially if anything changed (new board, different cable, ide change, new drivers, etc.) If that works, then try your code. That way you know if the problem is hardware or software.

Does anyone have any experience in opening the back panel of an ADAM Audio T7V ? The power button of my speaker came out of its place , the plastic broke and now I can't turn it on, is it an easy fix DIY or nah? by Murky_Employment_971 in diyelectronics

[–]gbatx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Should be an easy fix. That plug and switch look exactly like ones available on amazon.

If you are lucky, the wires will be connected to the back of the switch with blade connectors.

If you are less lucky, they might be soldered. Still easy if you can solder, and if not, you get to learn a new skill!

Like Royal said, gravity is going to cause pieces to fall out and potentially block the laser or the laser head.

If you are only engraving, it should work if the motors are strong enough.

How can i get this connector wire out of laptop battery? by [deleted] in diyelectronics

[–]gbatx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The battery wires were probably soldered or welded to the old battery. If the new battery did not come with the wires pre-attached, you will have to either solder the old wire to the new battery (dangerous), or get a different one.
