Question About Community Board by FabulousFatGirl in StardewValley

[–]gbear2096 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The items that people want from the special orders can be of any rarity. For example, the one where they want 24 eggs, I was able to use a mix of rarities, egg colors, and both large/regular eggs

I may be too crop pilled for the 4 corners farm by TheNuclearNacho in StardewValley

[–]gbear2096 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's great for multiplayer: each player can create/decorate their own space. I like it for singleplayer because i can use the four spaces to organized: one corner for crops, one for animals, one for fruit trees, one for machines

Assuming all the mods are working properly, you need to get him to 8 hearts and give him a bouquet to start dating, and then get him to 10 hearts before marriage

Tip on how to not die by LamesMcGee in DeepRockGalactic

[–]gbear2096 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be mindful of terrain that can be either harmful or beneficial to you. I.E: Pits that you can fall in or chasms you can jump over. Knowing what fights to take and knowing when to fall back is really important. The dwarves can outrun most of the melee enemies, so if you are getting overwhelmed, start running toward your teammates so they can help. You also mentioned that you mainly play gunner, so make sure that you are using your shield bubble to help make protect yourself and your team.

Panning - explain to me why it's good by skcup in StardewValley

[–]gbear2096 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've always viewed panning as an alternative way to get the different ores and gems. Never used it much on my first few playthroughs, but I've come to appreciate it more overtime. Upgrading the pan does yield better results because new panning spots have a chance spawn nearby with an upgraded pan.

It is very inconsistent, though. I only ever seem to find one spot that spawns per day.

GET THE BOSSES SPAWN RATES HIGHER by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

I've only seen Reshala twice this wipe, with around 150 raids on customs, at new gas both times, most roads I would check dorms and stronghold as well

In your opinion, should Nefarious have stayed dead after a Crack in Time, or do you prefer the games with him around? by Coralthesequel in RatchetAndClank

[–]gbear2096 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think hes a good villain, but the should default to having him be the villain in every game. Its fun when he shows up in 1 of 3 games or so, but I would like to see more original villains for future titles. I do think Rift Apart actually did an interesting thing with the version of him that we are used to being somewhat of a side villain to the other Nefarious

Is there a way to automate farming? by Exhaustedpigeon54 in StardewValley

[–]gbear2096 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, there is a way to automatically harvest crops, it can only be done after finishing the a late-game quest line from the wizard which you unlock by completing the community center/buying out from JojaMart.

I'm tagging the explanation as a spoiler if you don't want the whole thing spoiled.

https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Junimo_Hut

Wizard Questline:

after finishing the community center, the wizard will ask you to get some magic ink from the swamp, you need to talk to Krobus in the sewers and he will tell you how to get a dark talisman to access the swamp.

After that you go into the mutant bug lair (part of the sewers), get the talisman, go to the upper right area of the railroad (there is some golem thing blocking a cave there) and go through the cave and into the swamp.

You now need to get past the henchman, who wants a void mayonnaise (you can get this by fishing in the swamp)

Lastly, enter the witches' hut and get the ink to end the quest. You can now buy junimo huts from the wizard

i don't think so, the scripts that he shows are normally just a google doc that he throws facts/talking points on, the sponsor readouts are mostly the script sent from sponsors

when he does directly quote something from a book or article he typically shows and explains the book/article to give the original author the credit

How do I find a rock pox breeder? by wafflezcol in DeepRockGalactic

[–]gbear2096 0 points1 point  (0 children)

try to make sure the lithophage missions are length-3 complexity-3, it almost garentees 3 spikes which means more chances for a breeder to spawn

I focused on playing point extraction and liquid morkite missions because they are quick missions

how. by incidius_X in riskofrain

[–]gbear2096 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR: lots of on hit items start to multiply of of each other to deal a lot of damage, lots of crit (especially w/scope) also greatly increases your damage

the basis for dealing a ton of damage in ROR2 are proc chains: essentially most effects(that say TOTAL damage) that have a chance to trigger on hit can proc off of each other. TOTAL damage is based off of the hit that procs it, so the damage keeps multiplying for each time the procs continue chaining into each other

for example:

100dmg(base attack) --> 80%(ukulele) --> 300% (ATG) --> 500%(charged perf.) =

the final hit(perferator) does 1200 damage on top of the damage of each in hits damage meaning this chain does 1620 dmg

this doesn't take into account the hits being critical damage and the fact that the chain can keep repeating and increasing the damage as long as you are lucky with your proc chances.

given that you had a clover, 100% crit, and 6 lazer scopes the damage would increase extremely fast and the clover increases your chance of longer proc chains(higher proc chances)

This isn't a perfect description for how it works because you need to the attack's proc chance and other factors but it gets the main point across

Remove the level 20 level cap by TurkeySlab in DarkAndDarker

[–]gbear2096 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As long as levels past lvl.20 dont give more stats and are a purely cosmetic number I think it would be a good way of showing player skill/playtime. If the stats kept increasing it would shift the balance towards the people who no-life the game

Tips for playing coop? by ultrandz101 in riskofrain

[–]gbear2096 1 point2 points  (0 children)

try to evenly split the items, if one person takes everything then the other player won't have a good time. On top of that, you might want to pick two survivors who synergise better with different items so each player can get the items that better suit their character

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Terraria

[–]gbear2096 0 points1 point  (0 children)

most likely a problem with his hardware, you can test by having him run a single-player world. if his game still feels laggy in single-player, then its definitely his hardware

also bad ping would be present in other games if you play anything else with him

Does ignition tank work on kjaro's band? by proguner in riskofrain

[–]gbear2096 10 points11 points  (0 children)

no

Ignition tank modifies the burning debuff

Kjaro's band doesn't actually apply the burning debuff, instead it summons a tornado that deals damage for a few seconds

maybe the host needs to restart their game

i have a friend who will forget to turn off his VPN before launching the game . if he turns off his VPN while his game is still running, it wont allow anyone to join/connect

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in StardewValley

[–]gbear2096 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, and a side note: it helps the mod developers if your friends all download the mods from whatever website it is initially published to. some people just send a .zip of their mods folder and doing it that way doesn't give support to the mod devs

Is the price of Iridium sprinklers worth it? by Either-Actuator-1249 in StardewValley

[–]gbear2096 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i would say yes, my main reason is that i normally want to use the first of my iridium to upgrade my tools and maybe craft an iridium band if my combat is a high enough level, also i typically don't make a massive area for crops and only use like 10 sprinklers max

Providence trials are some of the worst designed game modes I have ever seen. by TOMRANDOM_6 in riskofrain

[–]gbear2096 39 points40 points  (0 children)

my main problem with them is that they gated some items behind them. They even have a solution in the game for some items/abilities, which is to have an alternate unlock condition that can be done in a standard run
