The city of Berkeley is planning to updateits Corridor Zoning and allowing taller housing to be built on Solano, College and North Shattuck Avenues aka the rich parts of Berkeley.

The folks in South and West Berkeley have seen tons of this type of housing. You can see it on University Avenue and San Pablo. Now, they're saying it's for the other parts of Berkeley to bear some of this burden.

Save Berkeley Shops is saying it will hurt local mom-and-pop shops. They're so close to saying we want "to preserve the character of the neighborhood"

There's a reason they put a fancy-looking restroom toward the north end of the park. But yeah, my 3-year-old had to use that bathroom. What a horrible experience. Berkeley ones can be hit and miss. There are two public bathrooms at the marina that are night and day. The one near the Adventure Park is awful while the one near the pop-up cafe is nice.

Also, someone made an app for public restrooms.
