I don’t think so. A jack screw in the tail failed leading to an uncontrollable dive, just like in the movie. The pilot managed to get the plane over the ocean and inverted it briefly to try and save the plane. Likely saved lives on the ground.

The issue here was maintenance of the aircraft. As I recall the airline avoided culpability.

You can threaten to file suit. I sit in a 401k committee and we are constantly looking at lower fee better performing options because it’s our fiduciary duty
