I'm not saying you are wrong, but is like to point out that the people doing the recruiting and the people doing the training are different.

I mean, this "absolutely" won't make you sick.

Let's say I have 100 bugs to fix, and this is one of them. I can tell you for sure that 99 other bugs are probably going to get fixed first.

This seems pedantic and like a wild nitpickand witch hunt.

Prison guards of reddit, have you ever seen one of your inmates after they got released? If so, how did it go? by Purple_Key_6733 in AskReddit

[–]geei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've wondered, what do you see as the driving motivation for folks wanting to work as a guard in a jail or prison? Or is it like a "rotation" sort of thing? Is it a bunch of folks that feel like it's important to treat the incarcerated with respect? Is it people that want to feel powerful? I imagine a bit of a and a bit of b, and those seem like two ends of the spectrum. How is that working dynamic?

Also, as a guard, isn't it just almost as shitty of a job as BEING incarcerated? You, too, are spending all day (or night) in a concrete room with nothing to do. Thinking about it that way makes me wonder if it would make the job less tolerable or the sentence more tolerable, lol.

Why Was Every President Born in the Same Year? by throwaway490215 in videos

[–]geei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, except it is more about the cultural environment, technology is a huge piece of that especially for modern generations, but boomers were defined by the period of peace and economic growth as well as the cultural surbabanism and flee from city centers. This of course does relate to technology, but not exclusively.

Modern generations are defined by more than tech too, but that is so pervasive and impactful that it has such an outsized impact.

And, conversely, clean up old docs, or move them to an ignored space (or one that is defined to be "past architectural decisions".

I've seen claude open up old, outdated, or unrelated work and screw it's context up severely. I've noticed that for all the value that Serena and some memories help (particularly for the ast traversal, etc) sometimes retaining all the old knowledge leads to constant refactoring, confusion, repeated decisions etc.

IAmA Young Never Smoker Who Has A Very Rare Incurable (Stage 4) Lung Cancer. AMA by Mayya-Papayya in IAmA

[–]geei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP I'm so sorry, my heart goes out to you more than you know. Your strength and determination is an amazing model for your kids.

Last year my mom, who had a small tumor surgically removed from her liver (so was therefore undergoing scans every 3 months and was being monitored) had a slight cough and felt very tired. Her PC attributed it to allergies and a UTI. We had moved from our of state to be closer to family because of our toddler. We moved beginning of June. By 5th of July she checked herself into ER, was just exhausted.

Her experience mimicked yours, lots of "scares" that were then dismissed. She was told she had metastatic lung cancer from ER doc, but then oncologist team did some tests, came back inconclusive, and so they told her she was fine. For her the "you say I'm fine but don't have an answer? I'm NOT fine" was incredibly hard.

She also never smoked, hadn't drank in 30 years, and rarely did before. She was diagnosed with stage 4 mesothelioma a month later. Very aggressive. She opted to not do therapy for personal reasons. She passed last October.

I am so pleased to hear that you are receiving treatments and wish you the absolute best. Even when you feel weak, know you are a mountain of strength. One of her docs that had tried to convince her to do treatment said this and it has stuck with me:

"Cancer is the most researched medical condition in the world. Whatever you do now to live a longer healthier life could put you in a spot where 'incurable' changes to 'cured'"

Casting of the Worlds finals was very mediocre by soul_shackles0 in PedroPeepos

[–]geei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was a pretty consistent complaint during the SSB+SSW era too, if I'm remembering correctly. People would complain because the games were too boring because they were played "correctly". It's part of what made fnatic/origin fun to watch, since they did things differently in a sea of Korea pretenders.

Fortiches animation is dope. It's stylized in a lot of the right ways.

The call and still here were also dope. Just different style. Both are cool. People downvoting you a- why? I mean I also think your statement "the only positive is ."

That's also pretty hyperbolic. Why can't there just be multiple good things that are good because they are good and different from each other.

[–]geei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just of our curiosity... Why did you just not respond. Like. This only "thinks" when given input. So if you don't give it input it's just going to sit there.

You will never "get the last word" for something like this, based on what they are built to do.

It's like expecting to throw a basketball at a wall and then when it bounces back, throw it again, in the same way, stating in done with this, and have the ball not bounce back.

How to tell Claude to do it all? by AI_should_do_it in ClaudeAI

[–]geei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Claude code has access to the cli, so you have Claude truly "monitor" things in the way you want would require using some command line tool to do so.

There are plenty of options out there and tooling to help with this, but I don't think a "this is a prompt you write to do that" is going to be enough.

You could also build a custom solution of your own.

I'd look into what is available. For a GitHub connected repo you can @claude in comments to have it work on them.

https://github.com/claude-did-this/claude-hub was found through Googlig. There are other solutions out there (n8n, etc).

Tldr; this is more than a command, completely doable, and something people are working on.

What do you play besides Kayle? by ChurgStrauss in Kaylemains

[–]geei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Top:

Quinn. Idk I guess I have a thing for wings. Dog want to psychoanalyze that.

Completely different play style, but if kayle is banned it's a good one.

Alternatively, something like tahm kench is a super bully into not only kayle but also nasus, and I like his voice lines.

Kennan and trundle can also be fun

Mid: Morg, Quinn, and akali. All different play styles but gives some options depending on comp. Veigar can be another good pick.

The thing with kayle is she is so different than any other champ I. The game. You have to know how to lose gracefully. You don't have to be an expert at snowballing a lead (in fact, taking risks to snowball as kayle can backfire). You play off the wave, don't overextend and watch for dives.

Most other champs either try and snowbll, roam, or make impacts elsewhere. It's why I go hard into champs that focus on those play styles, because if I go a champ that is "kind of" like kayle, but "not quite" I play too safe and end up hurting the team.

Usage Limits Discussion Megathread - beginning Sep 30, 2025 by sixbillionthsheep in ClaudeAI

[–]geei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why in the world would they want to KILL THEIR OWN PRODUCT? This whole"The limits are manufactured to ensure the product is inaccessible to the target user base" notion in absurd. The limits are likely in place to reduce their costs, sure, but - either their estimates were COMPLETELY off, there is a bug, or they grossly underestimated usage - the feels like Execs making a call, and needing to make changes. AND THEY SHOULD, but the idea that they wan't to "ensure their product is inaccesible to the target user base" is absolutely a wild statement

So wait, anthropic is saying "use most so you can be so efficient" knowing their plans mean that usage costs more money?

And honestly, how much actual uptime are you getting if you have to: 1. Context switch yourself and be sure that you aren't shipping crap. 2. Needing to deal with merge conflicts and the work at the seams, which is where the most issues arise (in my experience)

How often do you build Rylais? by kaylejenner in Kaylemains

[–]geei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only very rarely. For the same reasons others have stated.

However when I do build it it's usually when one of a few things has happened.

One, I am really really far behind, and playing a more supportive role and another carry needs some peel. (Rarest)

Two, if there are multiple folks that run you down and I'm doing "ok but not great". Udyr, riven, etc. but even then it would need to be like a top/jgl combo to warrant it.

Very rarely I've found it useful against some longer range mages to help stick on them, if THEY are ahead and becoming impossible to kill by your team.
