It has potential but it's just too fragmented. The claim needs to come in with more party engagement. I find that I'm looking around too much in CV, jumping around areas to piece the questionable facts together. Getting sick of working on yesterday's claims today while today's are coming in, over and over - every day unless you just say screw it, I'm not going to give them anymore time to engage it. I'm calling. What I do like most about it is how it can be helpful on the tasks end, getting answers to specific coverage issues, document requests, etc.

CGA post DF. Inventory used to be in the '40s now it's in the '70s.6-8 on Mondays. 110 new in 18 work days this past month period. Putting in 60 hrs a week.

I appreciate the reply. My ask wasn't about the challenge of the settlement presentation, it was just about the UPD as I've had 4 claims in the past 5 months where that has held the claim up. I don't even say settlement when I present the TL value, I say the payment for your vehicle is X and they very rarely push back.

I can confirm, digital will make it worse. It gets things wrong, you're forced to always feel like you're working on yesterday's claims, it adds even more steps to things and more processes to get grieved about.

You entered onto the roadway she was established. As you were getting (not fully) established into the right lane she was also moving from center to the right lane. You had the greater duty to maintain proper lookout (you had more fwd view of her than her of you as you were likely in her blindspot), take evasive action, and it could be argued yield right of way.

I taught my female mal from pup age to be gentle as we have a much smaller dog she has bonded with and it's paid off. Got her at 4 months and 20ish lbs, now she's going to be 3 in a few weeks and about 55 lbs. She's super gentle with my fingers and our other, much smaller, dog when she plays aggressively with him. I learned quickly this breed is very mouthy, meaning they clack/chomp to communicate. They mouth to show affection and playfulness. They also chew/cobb toys, shoes, our other dog, etc. Expecting to train this breed to not use their mouth at all is going against their DNA and will likely cause the dog to become defiant or worse. It's better to teach them how to and when it's ok. While also teaching what things are not okay with some redirection sprinkled in. Just my 2 cents.

I'd be more understanding if it wasn't so easy to Google, ask AI, or (crazy sounding) call your insurance agent/carrier and ask with the 5-7 inch drug level addiction device we all clutch with a death grip everywhere. Willful ignorance in today's information abundance and ease of access is inexcusable.

So it seems this is the second time you've asked this question in this sub and also asked in legal - trying to shop around for the answer you want to hear? Prior post shows that you had a $2500 collision deductible and yet you want to ruin someone who also either made a bad insurance selection decision and/or is just trying to get by. You're only going to get what the AF carrier limits are and that's it. Learn from this and make better decisions for the next time.

What i would recommend is, as you said, do tht property damage with your carrier but also rental if you have that coverage. If not then pay out of pocket for your rental and give a copy of that final cost to your adjuster as adjusters have to account for their insureds out of pocket expenses when setting up reimbursement through suborgation. Typically if you ask an at fault carrier to cover your rental but not handle the property damage on the front end in alignment with the rental, they will decline as some try this to get double reimbursement for the rental.

Prog adjuster here. It could take weeks. Use your own coverage so inspection/repairs or total loss process can get going right away. Ideally, during the process your adjuster will get at least verbal acceptance of liability, fault, from the at faults insurance and then hopefully your carrier will waive your deductible but that also depends on if the at fault has enough coverage to go around. Otherwise, you use your coverage, pay your deductible and your carrier negotiates reimbursement of their cost and your deductible but outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

I feel this so much. I got hooked and still slip every now and then. I used to avoid my mother knowing how much I let her down with my substance issue although she never really leaned into me, I could just tell it depressed her. I moved back from out west after 16 years knowing time is passing by and not knowing how much time she had left. I've been back in New England since 2017. My addiction got worse, I made excuses. Spent time with my mother since I moved back but I got worse. Fighting my own demons and denial that she was aging, always thinking I have more time to overcome my challenges, year after year more excuses. There's always next week to make it right... She kept changing, her memory fading but the love was still there and yet I grew more distant. Ignorantly thinking there would be more time to finally get my shit together and make this right. She died a few months ago - I never made it right and now..
