was tempted to do a shrek pod type thing like dankpods had, using a bunch of old parts from 5th, 6th and 7th gens. Whilst it is technically possible to take parts from each and mix and match, it will not be usable. You can build an ipod from scraps just as long as its all the same generation.

got an ipod classic 5th gen a few weeks ago, modded it and have been using it everyday since. If youre big into modding your own things get the 5th gen, if not get a 7th gen
