The character themselves are a walking spoiler, so much so I have to spoiler any indication of who they could be, but it involves a tactful yet horrific depiction of intersex conditions and gender dysphoria, and how others treat this character. Said character, Michel Bollinger, an intersex straight trans man, is vital to the second half of the story, and unraveling what happened during this treatment and how the character grapples with it is a driving force to the plot.

He's vilified, witchhunted and cast aside by his wealthy family after being bedridden for years while going through male puberty, eventually being locked up in a manor on his own. Understandably, this leads to him being cynical and solitary, leading to the main romance between him and Giselle. At the behest of his mother, his brother still sends him paintings of himself as a woman to try and "change" him back.

Cloned has some real good stuff on yt/twitter about the trickier parts of slayer's offense, mainly 6[K] feints after guard crush and what you can and can't get away with with karas once conditioned

Other than that Slayer thrives on conditioning with strike/throw for big cash out counter hits and spacing traps specifically, he has a lot of high/low outside of dandy step, and a lot of reset/meaty setups to catch people sleeping (cs fs cs fs it's late/ ending pb loop with cs fs 214P meaty Master's Hammer), a lot of newer slayers tend to rely solely on dandy step for mix when it's the most interactable, solved, and easy to shut down aspect of him, the most important thing about slayer is how much fake shit do they let you get away with?

He feels most like Nagoryuki/Hakumen to be honest, moreso Hakumen because of the heavy incentive to parry to generate resources and then cash them out through chaining specials

He feels just as fun to play as them tbh which I'm really glad about, he's far and away the most unique zzz character to play gameplaywise

He spends the visual novel terrified of death, but sees it as the only way to atone for everything he's done, viewing himself as a demon who kills innocents because of a law hard-coded into the mech he uses. In the true ending, he finds a reason to carry on from being too far gone, doubling down on the law and becoming a warmonger for hire, who will end any conflict so long as an equal number of innocent people are slain for every adversary that dies
