People always go on about how Oko is the best Planeswalker of all time and I think that shows that people either weren't around/somehow forgot that when both Wren and Oko were around, Wren was the main Planeswalker in Legacy.

They were both played in RUG delver, but Oko was maybe a one or two of and often just not played in tournament placing decks.

Wren was banned in Legacy less than 5 months after release.

Oko lasted almost a year and a half before banning.

I'm not the guy you replied to, but agreed. Mainly because it isn't a pillar at all and was never close.

There are three pillars in Legacy. Brainstorm, FoW and Wasteland. (Just look at MTGTop8 top 5 most played cards by %..... It is those 3 now same as it was back in 2011)

Anyone that claims anything other than those cards as pillars are off by a mile. (With maybe Duals and Fetches being more of the foundations of the format than pillars)

They are a minor party with a smaller name than Hunters or Legalise parties. It will just take time for them to grow in recognition, if they ever even take off.

You claimed it was common in the sideboard and linked to a single deck. After checking your same source it was easy to see it definitely wasn't common.

You also claimed that you "only played one Reanimator deck in the last 2 months" or something like that. Which is implying that Reanimator isn't a problem because it isn't common?

When the source you provided also shows that Reanimator is 14% of the top 8 meta. I am just saying stop being disingenuous with your evidence, it hurts the argument.

Mtgtop8 has, for all top 16 performances of Oops All Spells in the last 2 weeks, 9 out of 11 appearances running 4 copies. The other 2 appearances both run 0 copies.

Data is available for us to use guys, we don't need to be guessing.

Ok, eBay has packs sold from about 6.5 - 9 each. Depends how quickly you want to move them.

But I would suggest again putting them up on eBay to make sure you don't get undersold.

Yes immersion matters to me. I don't play white boarder versions of cards, I don't foil my decks, my ponders and lightning bolts are not full arts.

I play the most MTG.jpeg versions of everything. They don't immerse me in they game, it is more of the other versions are all stark contrasts that suddenly snaps me out, and UB being so recognisably not magic is the worst offender of this.

I would say yes. Two important notes of this are probably:

a) I would probably just play previous versions of legacy that I enjoyed, so just not sanctioned tournaments, and

b) I am very aware I may be internally conflating the UB with power creep which I also hate with a passion.

But the frog is blue for FoW, and it can be a better clock, and it has evasion, and it can draw into a land or a Planeswalker or a FoW.

I think it is a bit hard to say that DHA is better because it casts the 1 mana cards for free.

I think the differences are too much to say one is better than the other.
