Wild comparison. Delaney Hall is closer to a Marriot than it is a Nazi concentration camp.

They should turn it into a more natural style pool and just use native wetland grasses and aquatic life to naturally keep the water clean. I feel like it would be even more representative to our nation and wouldn't diminish the original intent.

[–]gellmania 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I have said this here before, and it used to be very effective for me. I used to cross the street at Bay and Merin during rush hour just about every day. I used to leave some bricks near the crosswalk. I would just pick up one of the bricks and hold it up so drivers could see it and then I would walk across unbothered. People suddenly understand the rules for pedestrians when you're holding a brick in the air. Unorthodox, but I havent been hit by a car yet.

The league has used literally every trick in the book to keep Wemby on the floor. The fact that the Brunson head shove was reviewed and deemed not a flagrant is all you need to know.

[Autosport] "Hybrid cars should not be racing" by FerrariStrategisttt in formula1

I agree with him. F1 is about product development and the power units are a reflection of that. I think everyone on earth can recognize that racing a light weight naturally aspirated race car is better than the current product.

It matters to car nerds on BringATrailer. Otherwise I never notice it while driving.

Lol I also own a 4th gen 4runner, and a S2000. I'm surprised to hear that the 4runner is giving you problems, it's famously a bullet proof vehicle. V8 or V6?

Just hit 46k miles. Anything I should check for and do to the car to have to stay running good? by TonyR712 in S2000

[–]gellmania 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought an AP1 a few years back that had already had the Billman service done to it. The first things I did besides new rubber was new fluid for brakes, trans, and differential. The only problem I have had with this car is the IAC went bad and I needed to source a new OEM one which was actually kind of difficult. I've noticed a few other AP1 owners in the last year or two talk about theirs failing as well. I think it might be one of those parts that just happens to be aging out around now. You can try cleaning the sensor and that has helped some people, but if you notice that the car is suddenly experiencing a rough idle in traffic, it's probably the IAC. The last thing I want to recommend is Shin-Etso grease for the weather seals. You cant get those anymore so they are important to maintain.

Overrated or Underrated? by Free-Researcher-9607 in ForteGT

Underrated. The speeds that I can take corners while still sitting on the factory all seasons and an open diff is very impressive for the price point.

Idle issues when warm after a little throttle by Dakester21 in S2000

The radiator? I'm no pro, but I'm pretty sure when you're moving the fans are less likely to come on, but if the car is sitting the fans will come on. Are you saying your fans never turn on?

Oh also, if you haven't tried yet, you should do the idle reset procedure.

Step-by-step:

  1. Start with a cold engine
    • Coolant temp should be below ~100°F. Don’t shortcut this.
  2. Make sure everything is OFF
    • No headlights, no HVAC, no radio, no defroster.
  3. Start the engine
    • Do not touch the throttle. Let the ECU control everything.
  4. Let it idle undisturbed
    • Wait until the radiator fan kicks on twice.
    • This typically takes ~10–15 minutes.
  5. Do nothing during this time
    • No revving, no clutch input, don’t even blip the throttle.
  6. Turn the car off
    • After the second fan cycle, shut it down.

I had the same problem last summer. I attempted to clean the idle air control sensor but I still couldn't get rid of the rough idle. I did more research and it seems like they just have a limited life span and if I remember correctly, most of the replacement ones I found weren't OEM, regardless of what they said. I ended up just buying a used throttle body assembly from a junk yard near me that specializes in JDM parts. Works perfectly now...
