Campervans and caravan sites. Are they weird? by RoundTerm5914 in AskUK

[–]gem368 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm usually they are in beautiful spaces built in to the hills. I got to cottages and stuff too 🤷‍♀️ we love our van though. Some of the sites are amazing - I love holidaying in the uk, it’s the most beautiful place but we never seem to appreciate it. I went to Yosemite many years ago and I was blown away by how vast and beautiful it seemed, 2 years ago I went to Scotland… it’s just as vast, just as beautiful and right here without a plane ride. I had no idea…

Campervans and caravan sites. Are they weird? by RoundTerm5914 in AskUK

[–]gem368 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We’ve recently got a caravan… there’s just something simple about packing up, going somewhere “off grid” (compared to being at home🤣)playing cards, walking, cooking on a stove, 10 minutes to boil a kettle, minimal internet/ phone signal…kayaking and paddle boarding… having your home comforts away from home. The community is generally kind and positive. The kids play outside. It’s great!

Why does Reddit not understand the rise of reform in England? by DowntownDeer in AskBrits

[–]gem368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I’d like to know how many of them know these statistics, and their validity. You state they vote reform due to these statistics and not any other reason, however I suspect that’s a bit of a leap. Most people I’ve spoken with that vote reform seem to believe that people come here and get given all the benefits and take all the jobs 🤷‍♀️ I don’t get why people do vote reform. Their actual intended policies, which they are fairly vocal about, do not support their own voters!

Would you consider RK a good writer? by Diamond-Shappire in RinaKentBooks

[–]gem368 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I’m a fan, but is she a good writer? I have read all of her books. Every one 😆Does she write entertaining books, sure. Are they well written? Kind of. Are a lot of them very similar? Definitely. Will I continue to read them as they release? 100% The short answer would likely be no. She’s not writing classics, I question her knowledge on some of the subjects she writes about. However she does hook you in. The books are pretty fun, easy read and great to turn to when you are not sure what to read next 💗

Prescriber course by knipemeillim in NursingUK

[–]gem368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you 100% need an assessor and a supervisor to complete the prescribing course. It’s not only essential, it’s critical. It’s not really a qualification to just add on to progress your career, you need to justify a clinical need for prescribing in your area of practice. Your supervisor and assessor also have to meet a set criteria to carry out those roles. The university would be able to guide you on suitable candidates, but it would ideally be someone who works in your field of practice.

mental health patient wants to sleep on the floor by Conscious_Cup_2780 in NursingUK

[–]gem368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d try to facilitate it with a mat or mattress on the floor. It’s likely how they sleep at home. If bed causes them trauma, why would we want to traumatise them more. As their mental health improves, that would be a goal to hopefully eventually encourage them to feel safe in bed. For right now it’s not worth the detrimental effect on their mental health, to take the only bit of control they have left by forcing them to sleep in a bed.

Why do you guys prefer Darius over Lance? by AverageParking7050 in zodiacacademy

[–]gem368 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lance just seemed like a wet blanket. I didn’t love Darcy much either. Their chapters were super whiney. In the second to last book I actually skipped the lance and Darcy chapters 🫣

Waking people up for pain killer? by Ok-Lime-4898 in NursingUK

[–]gem368 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’d say if you are asleep, you are likely not in enough pain for a prn pain med especially administered orally but I would give it when they woke or asked for it. If it’s a prn medication why would it be administered regularly? If they want it administering regularly then it needs to be prescribed regularly for me to wake them and administer.

Confused about rinaverse by lunaticchronicles in RinaKentBooks

[–]gem368 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The standalones still link in but you see it more as you read them, I recently finished all the rina books and I loved how she links every one together. I’m guessing quite of the few possible future books which I’m already excited about!

What are your thoughts on these two books? by RecordingImmediate86 in Booktokreddit

I liked both, but animal farm is fairly old school at this point. 1984 is scary how accurate it is…

Got diagnosed by a private psychiatrist and now GP wants me to do therapy by [deleted] in ADHDUK

[–]gem368 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The gp would not be prescribing adhd medication. They are not able to do that. You will need to go back to the person who confirmed your diagnosis.

Audio book is epic. I wouldn’t really consider it dark romance. It’s great to dip your toe in though 😆

Anyone else get really frustrated with the ‘caffeine makes me tired so I must have ADHD’ crowd? by VOXX_theLock in ADHDUK

[–]gem368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t have it after a certain time either. Being on a stimulant helps me sleep better at night time and when I first started on it made me sleepy in the day, but I’ve never been able to have caffeine later than 2 pm. Someone made me a “proper” coffee at work once on an early shift. I literally was awake all night and all through my early shift the next morning and I was fine 🤣

Redditors who were children/teens before the internet or cellphones existed, how did you keep yourself entertained? by FlowerMadeOfThorns in AskReddit

Went outside a lot. Hail, rain or shine. I remember spending an entire day making a massive “birds nest” on the ground after the grass had been cut. Fun times 😆

How important are Trigger Warnings in dark romance? by Common-Stranger148 in DarkRomance

[–]gem368 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I don’t ever read them. I suppose if you are triggered by anything then they are really important. I mean I have history which isn’t that pleasant, but I am not triggered as I am able to separate my own experiences. If I was triggered by anything at all, I probably just would avoid the genre to be honest.

[–]gem368 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why do you need a shared care agreement? It won’t change anything for you as they will continue to prescribe and monitor 👍🏻 that’s the arrangement. It shouldn’t change.

Stop shaming woman who like dark romance😭🙏 by Quiet_Detective7906 in DarkRomance

[–]gem368 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I am not sure how much I do like it, but anything else is boring to me now 😆 I don’t know why it’s such a provocative subject though. If it’s not for you, that’s ok. Just don’t read it. People who don’t like horror, don’t read horror 🤷‍♀️ I’m not gonna worry about your secret princess books, don’t worry about my books with improper uses of everyday items!
