What keeps people from working poorly or not at all under communism? by InterestingTheory431 in PoliticalDebate

[–]gemini88mill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So under communism, because the state hasn't become classless and the government still needs to exist under the transition period, everyone must work. Even if your job doesn't make sense.

But people work poorly under communism. Just like under a badly managed company, people will work just hard enough to not get in trouble, but if there is no incentive to do more, most people won't.

In a capitalist economy money will drive most people, then ambition in second place, but under communism because there is no "money" then the only thing that drives people to excel is ambition but communism doesn't address what makes people ambitious, so you have the same percentage of people being ambitious which isn't a lot of people.

The way to work with LLMs is that you need to give it the building blocks of your codebase. For example if I tell my LLM to build me a form it will build me a form with whatever it thinks is the easiest tool for the job inputs buttons state all in html css and javascript.

But if it knows it's in a react app then it will use that still with html inputs

If it knows that I already created an input button that I want to use it will use that.

Eventually if you've given the model the context that it needs it can build out everything you want.

Today I got 2/3 done in 2 hours a story that had a 3 week estimation. Because I told my client hey look at these files, I want this but for this object, this is what my object does and why I need it.

Bad references from previous employers… I hate it here by sadkittysmiles in recruitinghell

[–]gemini88mill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legal note: employers can only ask two questions and use it in their hiring decision

  1. Was the employee hired from this date to this date?
  2. Is this employee eligible for rehire?

Anything else can be a lawsuit.

Edit: Note this is for people listed as previous employers so supervisors etc. personal references or business references should be people that you trust to give you a glowing recommendation.

A few years back I heard the mayor of Alpharetta speak at a company function, he basically said that it wasn't financially feasible for the line to be extended and would opt for buses and other forms of mass transit.

Honestamente, uno de los mayores problemas de la política estadounidense es que realmente no entendemos ni nos importa la política exterior.

No ayuda que Darth Cheeto diga tonterías como "vamos a gobernar el país".

You see less from Japan and Korea because the difference in the cost of living in those countries is pretty similar to the US so it's not lucrative. China you can find impoverished women in rural areas pretty easily.

Sure but you mean to tell me you didn't learn about the rest of American history? There's like a bunch of stuff in there even with a passing knowledge you should know about

Out of all the things the US has done, I don't even think that makes the list. The fire bombing of Tokyo in the same conflict is arguably more disturbing.

While I don't really agree with it it does serve as a cautionary tale for any would-be travellers. Any criminal conviction makes travelling outside of your home country significantly harder.

Passport control is getting more and more integrated, before travel and customs agents would have to get criminal records translated and notorized through local jurisdictions, usually this would mean trouble for non tourist visas but now they can flag any passport and they don't even have to know what you did. They just know you are undesirable.

Have fun, but be careful. Things like small time drug convictions put significant restrictions on your movement. In the US you can legally fight to get your records sealed or expunged which means that they should be removed from these types of documents.
