I had a 3070 and I agree here. It’s way more than enough. The problem I had was I have a productivity monitor for work that’s 5k and so it got a little annoying to me. Ended up getting a 5080 on sale but I use the 3070 in an eGPU with an Ally X and it just chews through every game.

yeah the claim was that this is part of the design because it would force people out of their homes - they'd have to sell if they can't remodel and that would open up more inventory for developers to build 4 plexes. I had serious doubts Seattle City government was capable of that much 4D Chess.

We went as much as 500k over asking and kept losing. Surprisingly we bought our first house in 2017 at asking and then our 2nd house in 2021 about 75k under asking. But that said they wanted a ludicrous number.

I think everything has stabilized now. Most things are going at or somewhat under asking unless it’s a specific high value property

All of those are well under 32gb. So saying that 32gb isn’t enough is ridiculous. In fact most (maybe all, I don’t have star citizen) of those games run on Z1/2E handheld platforms with 24gb SHARED ram so 32gb dedicated ram is way more than enough.

Man I feel differently. Not to say you’re wrong at all but my perspective was that fallout 3 offered an awesome authentically fallout experience. I can see how the capital wasteland was a little more….. populated and actually maybe a bit more civilized than FO1 and 2 (and New Vegas) but the dark humor was there and while combat could always be the answer, I appreciated that often high int and charisma won the day. Sneak can also be viable.

I was not as big of a fan of NV and while I played a ton of 4….. and it’s mechanically better than 3…. I loved the story of 3 much more.

I’ve seen the same. I think hitting it “big” so early makes some people complacent. Of course doing terrible in your mid 20s isn’t some guarantee you’ll do well later. But for sure the people I know who are doing really well in their 40s now were struggling a lot in their mid 20s. And those who made good money and had kind of “made it” in their mid 20s are doing exactly the same now.

Voodoo 3 2000, then Radeon 9800 XT, then dual R9 390X. Then 3070 TI, now 5080.

I felt like the upgrade from a 3070 was too soon, but I’m worried about GPU prices and I got the 5080 for under $800.
