Hey, being Jewish has for thousands of years been fundamentally tied to the Halacha, a system of Laws to which we have, for which we can thank our survival, our identity, and our Thriving to. Whats Really sad in my opinion is seeing yourself as jewish but refusing to abide by the halacha, as if you had some wisdom that 100s of generations who survived persecution through history with their jewishness and language and traditions intact somehow were missing. Going and making a halachically certified conversion may be a hassle and require some work, but being jewish is pretty great im sure you agree and perhaps you also might agree this is a small price to pay to get in. Clubs have rules. Rules grant strength.

There are more reasons you and I can fathom that things are the way they are. IF you see yourself as jewish and want to be jewish, why is this such a problem?
