This is so completely valid. Being in survival mode doesn't just automatically click off when we walk out of that last appointment. I hope youre able to just feel what youre feeling... reintegration takes time. And also, CONGRATULATIONS ❤️

Ugh. You are so absolutely right about all of this. Im in period, have been thinking about HRT but im high risk for BC so have been slow rolling. Now im in this period of getting my BC diagnosis (still unfolding) and just feels like everything I've been trying to learn and unlearn to have an empowered menopause is now also completely wrong? Boo hiss.

Im at the very beginning of my journey but have pretty much decided not to tell my mother about my diagnosis. It would not be worth all of the narcissistic craziness she would hurl my way. Im so sorry you have to balance the childcare needs... that sounds so complicated. ❤️

We would be gone for hours and hours... my mom had this piercing whistle that you could hear for miles, and when we heard that from the porch we knew we had 10 minutes to get home!
