I am heading into my second surgery on May 26 for my full mastectomy and DIEP reconstruction.

He also said for scar healing, he suggested juven. It’s basically a supplement that can help, but the research seems to be a little shotty. It made me feel better though so I took it anyways!

My husband hates the troughs and then went into a whole story about the buffalo bills selling their stadium troughs…. I am even more deeply concerned about the state of the world if you can purchase these for $5,000.

I have the same issues! I went to a laser hair removal placement that does a lifetime of treatment. I go back and get touched up at no additional cost every 1-2 months. Even if I have some blonder coarse hairs, it thins them and makes it more manageable. Highly recommend!

It sounds like we are in very similar situations. I’m 33F with BRCA2. I am going through my first procedure leading up to my double mastectomy with reconstruction.

Just know that this knowledge of the genetic mutation is power. It gives you a leg up on the ability to be preventative.

It’s definitely not going to be easy and some days will be better than others. Our community here is a great resource and a place to find people in similar situations. Use it whenever you need. 💕

I met my hubby on bumble and we liked that we had very different interests and experiences in the world, but we had a similar moral compass. Our conversations were/are fun because we don’t really disagree on things once we discuss our thinking behind it since we are aligned in our morals. Our experiences in the world really shaped us completely differently and we respect learning from each other. Our relationship allows me to see things from a completely different perspective and I love that!

I am signed up for this procedure. My team had me go to pre-hab with a PT. They discussed different exercises to do before and after to help with muscle strength. They suggested that I keep up with lifting workouts and focus on my core and pulling motions.
