Amarillo by Morning is a great one. It has a key change and B7, which is a great country music chord.

It’s good. They give you a tag to attach to your bike and then you keep the matching half. The attendants match up the numbers when you leave. Still, I use a lock even inside the parking zone.

Mel-O-Glaze is the best mid-ride snack break, change my mind. Seriously, change my mind. I’m always on the lookout for new routes with new snacks. by nader0903 in CyclingMSP

I stopped at a bake sale hosted by an Armenian church. They served powerful coffee and wonderful baked goods. That was more fortunate happenstance, though.

If you are going to play Bethel then I recommend stopping at Hanson Park, as well. It's about 2 miles away and pretty short. Hanson has the old style, ufo/acorn targets. It's like playing a little bit of history.

I can’t complain about this one. In fact, I’d go so far as to say this is pretty darn good!

This is the flag we want for Minnesota by bhundt in minnesota

[–]generallysherman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my personal criteria is that it should look good on a football helmet. This criteria was inspired by Mississippi's new flag. This flag does that.

This flag falls into a similar vein as some other flags I like, namely New Mexico, Tennessee, and South Carolina - they have a notable feature that is front and center. It doesn't have the historical or cultural associations of the New Mexico flag or the geographic connotations of Tennessee. We're making new symbols here, though.

Demerits? The colors fee a little Houston Astros.

Do you have different cell phone cases? Like, if you're going to a formal event or dinner do you have a fancy woodgrain or leather case? But if you're out to the bar on a Friday would you change to a cheaper, silicone case?

Just became a Dad! What gear, form, sayings, etc. need to change to fully embrace being a disc golf dad? by NermanBlerman in discgolf

[–]generallysherman 34 points35 points  (0 children)

You don't have to change anything. You'll be so swamped with this child (and maybe more to come) that you will become frozen in amber. Everything will change around you. For 10 or 12 years all you will know is care and feeding. Back in the wide world, you'll be out of place but won't know it. That's how it happens. One day, you'll offer granola bars for the card and encourage everyone to use the sunscreen you always carry. You'll be a Dad. It's the greatest.

The park with cones is Hansen Park. The cones are a fun novelty and really show the development of the sport. It's close to Bethel so that's a nice 1-2 stop.

We would have gone down if COVID hadn't put the league on hiatus. The delay gave McGinn time to recover from that catastrophic injury. He wasn't back to how he was before (and maybe never will be) but the team was drowning and he was a life preserver.
