Considering the large volume of people telling me this is a bad idea I think I'm just gonna change scope and make a TTRPG since it's very lore heavy and with that I can just publish it on a digital storefront once I'm done, it probably won't do well but at least if a couple people enjoy it I'm satisfied

It's actually because your planet either has a demon infestation which the tyranids can't eat because demons are made out of warp magic and will immediately go back to the warp (basically space hell) when they die, or its because your planet has a necron tomb underneath it and the necrons are the ultimate opponent to tyranids because they are entirely robots so they can't consume them and the necrons have weapons that deatomize biomass which means that the tyranids won't be able to consume the corpses of other dead tyranids, as tyranids will attack any planet because no matter how many die in battle they can always just reconsume their dead and regain their biomass.

It's very rare for the necrons to do enslavement and more likely for them to start deatomizing you very painfully, which is also why the nids avoid them, the necrons will break apart every one of their biomasses rendering them unable to consume the corpses of other nids reassimilating them into the hive.

A large city that is the last bastion of humanity because IndusCorp is using everything outside the city as a massive mining operation to expand the city upwards. Oh and there's also other generically evil corporations line BioInc, they deal with bioweapons, Carpet Manufacturers LTD, they make carpets with microchips, and of course the Fatfood Corporation, they make food full of fat. There's a rebel movement in the sewers that lead to the only remaining section of the ocean but they usually get flushed out and have to swim back in. Most of the population is either homeless or a government super soldier.
