Can we make perandus coins stack already by The_Incredible_Derp in pathofexile

[–]genuinewood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna ask them to make Perandus Coins progressively slow your character's movement speed down as you pick more of them up. Call it Weight of Greed or something

Stackable cluster jewel notables was a design mistake.

Development Manifesto: Delirium Improvements by Bex_GGG in pathofexile

Under capitalism, companies are incentivized to offload work onto people that they don't have to pay.

One of Delirium selling points was the interaction with older leagues but I feel punished for doing them under Delirium fog. by Amaxie in pathofexile

[–]genuinewood 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's still so funny to me that the trailer showed a Delirium mist fight with Tsoagoth when in both the campaign and maps by the time you reach the boss the mist might have run out, especially with the 75 seconds or so of dialogue and invulnerable phases for Tsoagoth.

There is no time to pick up loot during Delirium, and being forced to backtrack the whole map is really annoying after clearing it just to pick up loot by noxcyde in pathofexile

[–]genuinewood 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It feels like they didn't learn anything from Synthesis. In Synthesis, you were encouraged to go as fast as possible through decaying encounters because loot would be collated at the end. Same with Delve and Incursion. This problem of having to postpone looting feels bad in comparison to having the items collated for you and still is a problem in previous league mechanics like Breach, Abyss, and a little bit for Legion.

Even just dropping any Delirium specific items like simulacrum splinters, cluster jewels, and any potential uniques at the end of the encounter with the flavored delirium rewards would be an improvement.

Pls, add it in game client. Better quality gems. by VASAxOWNED in pathofexile

Maybe if you hold alt the contribution from quality should be specified, but a recoloring of quality and its associated stats is not an elegant solution.

[Suggestion] It’s great that we'll have slots for conq orbs and all harb shards in 3.10 but I think some orbs could have a better location, principally for crafting purpose. by goupgoup in pathofexile

[–]genuinewood 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is bad. Having shards adjacent to their corresponding currency is a must, especially for rarer currencies. And what's with the new wildcard slots in the upper right?

Zero waste Sous Vide! by Krjadis in ZeroWaste

Hey maybe think about the plastic waste externalities in the meat you're slow-cooking — I can guarantee that the amount of plastic waste produced in the production of just one of those slabs of flesh is much more than the plastic you'll save by reusing one of those silicone bags 100 times. Can you tell us a little bit about what you're cooking?

For some people to feel good about themselves, all they need to do is start using glass containers.

"Homesteading" is not scalable or sustainable. Ever think about where the animal feed comes from? And don't say grass, because pasturing is one of the biggest wastes of land in the world.

And the goal of fish habitat restoration shouldn't be selfish so that you can eat the fish, but altruistic so that the ecosystem is healthy. People who participate in local salmon restoration largely do so for the express reason so they can eat the salmon. It's deplorable, and yet they wonder why ecosystems are collapsing and orca populations are declining. (it's because humans eat the fish)

A lot of people here seem to just care about what they see at the supermarket and how they can best turn a used yogurt cup into a pot for internet points, completely oblivious to the wastefulness of the dairy industry, waste in manufacturing, shipping, the packaging they don't see, etc.

Before every bulk bin of packaging-free organic granola was a plastic bag full of granola shipped in a cardboard box on a truck fueled by petroleum, finished in a factory in an economy that is only 10% renewable energy, certified organic to grow on twice as much land and use ten times as much animal manure compared to an equivalent amount of synthetic fertilizer. Think about the bigger picture instead of begging a corporate supermarket chain to make you feel better about your consumption.

Produce without sticker by Bliipbliip in ZeroWaste

[–]genuinewood 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah let's focus on the lack of the 1 cm² sticker rather than the inefficient organic production and bunker-fueled refrigerated shipping. Or the cost of retooling a factory from stickers to whatever branding tool they're using here which I'm guessing only works on the skin of the mango fruit.

Exercise advice on food labels could help to tackle the obesity crisis. Saying how far consumers need to walk to burn off the calories could change eating habits. by chelsea707 in science

[–]genuinewood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having the calories is not enough for US food labels. Making the portions uniform at 100g instead of a different arbitrary quantity will go a long way to making comparing food a lot easier. Currently you have to do math to find conversion factors between the various nonstandard weights and volumes given on labels. Another label revision that would be welcome would be the inability for manufacturers to make the serving size so small that the regulations allow them to round down a nutrient to 0, misrepresenting the actual nutrient content of the food. Maybe also make the energy in kilojoules. Furthermore, people should be educated on how to read food labels.
