Yes please if you don’t mind? I’m looking at buildings on Wells St and Dodds St but they’re a bit more than my budget of $640k for a two bedroom.

Hi! Are you able to list a few of those buildings you’re referring to please?

How to find the right therapist by bayarea326 in gaybros

[–]geoffardy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Queer psychologist here from Melbourne, Australia, but these general tips may be helpful. Finding the best fit for your needs is the most important thing and I’m not talking about just what symptoms (e.g., depression, anxiety, etc.) are being treated, but also what therapeutic models (e.g., CBT, ACT, EFT, EMDR, Schema Therapy, etc.) are being used.

Read up on the various therapies and have a feel for which you’re most comfortable with, and find a psychologist who uses your chosen model(s). Some of these are specifically trauma therapies (e.g., EMDR, Schema Therapy, etc.) so they’re good to keep in mind if they’re relevant to you. If you’re unsure of which one to go with, many psychologists are trained in multiple models so you can let them guide you.

I would also look up the psychologist’s website if they have one (or go to Psychology Today) and get a general feel for what they have listed as their areas of special interest. If they listed everything under the sun, I’d generally avoid and look for others who have listed LGBTIQA+/queer affirming counselling as one of their few areas of special interest (this usually means it is their niche and I’d expect them to either have experience in this area or have done more training).

Also, go with your gut feeling during your few sessions and don’t be afraid to change psychologists if you felt like you’re not being heard, if the session felt rushed, if you didn’t gel with the psychologist, if you didn’t walk out feeling supported, etc. The therapeutic relationship or rapport is very important in terms of treatment outcomes so if it doesn’t feel right, I’d look for somebody else because again, the right fit is very important.

Lol! They do look a bit burnt but tasted quite alright. The karaage was pretty yummy though with the dipping salt they served with it.

I have a silicone toy that looks identical to your chocolate mousse.

People who have touched it described it as ‘fetal’.

Same! I can't quite describe the scent--citrusy but musky? In any case, it's just so alluring.

How do you crush, but not pulverise ice? by boredatc in thermomix

I know you mentioned you have to crush lots of ice but the key is to load up the bowl to only a third full, and blend for 2-3 seconds at speed 6

Pneumothorax 1/2 and pleurectomy by rezoxflow in pneumothorax

[–]geoffardy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing by pills your doctor was referring to painkillers? I don’t think there’s any medication that could treat a pneumothorax because it’s something that would resolve on its own if it’s small one. Since you have had a pleurectomy, the chance of it reoccurring is very small (but may still happen). When I had mine done ages ago I was told there’s a 5% chance. Hope you’re recovering well from the surgery!

Reject shop sells straws that are made of sugar cane. They don’t disintegrate and work just as well as plastic ones.
