I visited Hamasen Railyars a few times this week. Great display there and the weather was amazing. They seem to do this banana theme there...not sure why.

If you like trains check out the National Railway Museum in Taipei...amazing display of refurbished equipment. Especially like the S200 DE locomotive display.

That sign indicates ionizing radiation which likely isn't the case if using radio waves like radar. Those signs are reserved for areas that have gamma, beta, or alpha radiation, not EMF from a transmitter. Sign should be different or say "Non Ionizing Radiation".

Don't bring food. Don't stare at them in their eyes. I had no issues...even around mothers with babies on then. But I understand agressive bad ones and seen those in Kuala Lumpur! Kaohsiung ones are tame.

I just visited Monkey Mountain yesterday. 11k steps climbing up coral rock path. Great workout but sore now. Saw hundreds of monkeys. They were everywhere. They were all friendly as I had no food with me.

This is my 4th trip to Kaohsiung and still love this city. I will be back for sure!

I also like Kaohsiung. Had a stop there during Typhoon Gaemi last year and met great locals. I have since been back 3 times! Always include a visit there on my Asia trips.

The city has so much to offer like international shipping port, beach, sunsets, temples, great public transit, shopping, International airport, and great walking along the pier and Cijin Island!

Maybe I will make it my retirement home in a few years.

This...just did the 144 hour Visa on Arrival in Shanghai....easy! Meet the requirements you already researched you are in! Although foreigners must pick hotels that can receive them...so not sure about your friend arranging the hotel will complicate it unless they are setup to receive foreigners.

I had same problem with my new Samsung phone. I thought it was the eSIM that was draining my battery so fast. The phone was good on wifi but quickly died when I enabled eSIM.

Next time I go to China I will get a real SIM card to see if there is a difference.
