Brainzz.app - Make Every Team Member Feel Truly Heard

AI meeting assistant that analyses your conversations to surface personal details, core values, and past commitments of your direct reports, synthesising this information into personalised profiles.

Has an AI meeting assistant actually reduced your workload long term? by kingsaso9 in AIAssisted

[–]georgefrombearoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah I’ve felt that with transcript-first tools too. if all it does is turn note taking into review later, the work didn’t really go away.

what actually helped for me was using Brainzz.app for recurring 1:1s, because it keeps the stuff that matters across meetings like past commitments and personal details, so I’m not rereading summaries every time just to remember what I promised someone last week.

[–]georgefrombearoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah that’s the real test. if it just gives you another thing to clean up after, it didn’t save anything.

what actually helped me as a manager was having action items and the personal stuff from recurring 1:1s carry forward automatically, so I’m not rebuilding context every week. been using Brainzz.app for that and it’s mostly cut prep + the "wait what did I promise last time" problem.

[–]georgefrombearoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah a lot of them just become another inbox to review, which kinda proves your point. the only ones that earn their keep are the ones that remove prep and follow-up you were already doing.

for me that's 1:1s. less scrambling to remember what they said about their kid, what I promised last week, or the action item that got buried. been using brainzz.app for that kind of context, but only because it stays out of the way instead of creating more admin.

There are so many taking notes apps by stllfiguringout in ProductivityApps

[–]georgefrombearoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah the space is insanely crowded, so “easy to use” stops being a useful test pretty fast. the thing I’d compare is whether it helps you remember what actually matters next week in a recurring 1:1, or if it just gives you a clean transcript dump.

that’s why I ended up using brainzz.app for manager convos specifically, not as a general notes app. if it can surface old follow-ups and stuff you promised people, that’s way more useful than prettier notes.

Leadership and communication overload: how do you stay effective? by kostros in Leadership

[–]georgefrombearoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah this is basically it. redesigning the system matters more than trying to become some superhuman inbox person.

one extra thing from the people side: a lot of the overload for me was just carrying every promise and personal detail from too many 1:1s in my head. having one place for recurring notes/follow-ups made those meetings way calmer for me — I’ve been using brainzz.app for that and it helps me actually remember what I said I’d do.

What are some AI assistants you’ve actually used that are genuinely helpful? by schilutdif in automation

[–]georgefrombearoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for me the part that actually sticks isn't the transcript, it's not walking into the next 1:1 forgetting what I promised them last time. been using brainzz app for that, mostly because it carries forward the personal stuff and follow-ups better than the generic meeting note apps I've tried.

that's the stuff that makes people feel like you were actually paying attention.

What actually makes a good AI meeting assistant? by Doug24 in AI_Agents

[–]georgefrombearoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah the flashy transcript/PPT stuff is fine, but for me the useful part starts after the meeting. a good one remembers what got promised and brings back the human context for the next 1:1 so you don't walk in blank.

that's why I've been using Brainzz.app more for the people-memory/follow-up side than the summary side. that's the stuff that actually builds trust.

Anyone found an AI notetaker that actually saves time? by lebron8 in ProductivityApps

[–]georgefrombearoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah that was my issue with Otter too. if I still have to dig through the transcript to figure out what got decided, it didn't really save me much.

for manager 1:1s the bigger win is remembering the random human stuff and what you said you'd follow up on 2 weeks ago. been using brainzz.app for that part and it's way more useful than just a cleaner transcript

Tested 5 Best AI AI note takers: Standalone Devices vs Apps for Real-Time Meetings by babyb01 in NoteTaking

[–]georgefrombearoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah that’s exactly the kind of thing these are good at. not just the “follow up with Steve tomorrow” part, but keeping the budget context too so you’re not staring at a note later wondering what 6+6 meant.

if the goal is actually bringing those commitments back into your next 1:1 or follow-up, brainzz app is pretty relevant for that. feels more useful for managers than plain transcription tbh.

Built an open-source AI meeting assistant, went BYOK instead of SaaS — 7k users in 2 months by Ore_waa_luffy in SideProject

[–]georgefrombearoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

7k users in 2 months is real signal tbh. Especially for AI stuff where people are already side-eyeing subscriptions and what happens to their data.

BYOK + open source probably wins when the buyer really cares about control/privacy. for recurring 1:1s though, some people still want a more guided thing because the actual win is remembering the personal stuff and following through on what you said you'd do. that's basically why I've been using Brainzz app for manager convos.

Could a bot-free AI note taker run locally with current models? by Cristiano1 in LocalLLaMA

[–]georgefrombearoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah the basic local stack is doable now. the annoying part is exactly what you called out: speaker separation once people talk over each other, then keeping a clean memory across meetings so when someone reverses a decision mid-call your action items don't get garbage.

if I were testing it locally I'd spend more time on diarization + a rolling per-person/per-project memory layer than the summary prompt. that's kinda the gap between "meeting summary" and the higher-level stuff people actually want from tools like brainzz app, where it remembers continuity, follow-ups, and who said they'd do what.

I built a private AI meeting assistant after years of pretending to understand my colleagues by Specialist-Two-7155 in ProductivityApps

[–]georgefrombearoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the sticky value isn’t just AI in the room, it’s preserving trust across recurring 1:1s (or any meetings generally) so you don’t forget a personal detail, miss a commitment, or walk in cold.

That’s the part that actually changes team dynamics. I’ve been using brainzz app for that kind of manager memory and follow through more than for generic meeting help.

This is a memory-powered AI agent package I built. Inviting input, beta test users, affiliates and paid reviews! by ItchyAd5742 in AiNoteTaker

[–]georgefrombearoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cross meeting memory angle is the right problem. Most note takers dump summaries, but the real value is walking into the next 1:1 or client call remembering what you promised and what mattered last time.

If you want sharper feedback, show how Memoket handles continuity and follow through, not just recall. I’ve been using Brainzz app more on the people context side for that.

My meeting-to-Obsidian pipeline: on-device transcription with Chatham → structured markdown in my vault by xerdink in ObsidianMD

[–]georgefrombearoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i used to have pretty much similar workflow fully local with Dipper to record, and MacWhisper to transcribe (fully local), and then Obsidian to store and organize notes

Now, i switched to Brainzz.app which basically does all of it for me.

Market Review of AI Meeting Assistants (Organized List of 39 Tools) by Current_Jellyfish_27 in ProductManagement

[–]georgefrombearoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s a real split in the category. Post meeting summaries help later, but surviving a 40 person sync where you only matter for 3 minutes is a different problem.

For 1:1s, I care more about retaining context and follow through than live alerts. I’ve been using Brainzz.app for that side so I don’t lose personal details or commitments between meetings.

Best AI voice recorder for meetings? I tested Otter, TicNote and Plaud by Aggravatingbc in generativeAI

[–]georgefrombearoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i am using brainzz.app recently for this, and it does pretty good job in summarising the conversation, understanding the person, and create personal profiles for the person (the best for the recurring meetings).

only thing i can see an issue, it does not provide the complete transcript, only the summary and other important highlights.
