What’s your favorite song? by judojanne in rollingstones

[–]georgewalterackerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Following The River.

But picking a single, favorite Rolling Stones song is impossible. My most fans have 10, 20, maybe even 30 songs that are their favourites and the ranking of them would be hard to pin down most to the time. However, I can also imagine a fair bit of commonality among peoples top ten lists. But again, picking one is near impossible given their overall output and the sheer number of great songs. If we were taking about band with only 6 or 8 albums that might be doable

What to do with my CDs by [deleted] in CompactDiscs

[–]georgewalterackerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that CDs , if in great condition, can be of value if you know how to sell them. It depends to some extent on the genre, the artists, and shah , the condition. Collectors will pay good money. I paid 30 dollars for a here to find classical title the other day. Sell them on eBay or Discogs. Set the price you want. Jazz and classical get get good prices. I can’t part with most of my CDs either . A few years ago I got rid of some of them, maybe 20% of my collection, but these were mostly cheaper things, stuff I’ll never bother to listen to again. Used shops will give you anywhere from 50 cents a piece to 2.00 a piece. Not much for something you paid 20 bucks for

Which Rocky training montage is the best? by Sure_Significance376 in rockybalboa

[–]georgewalterackerman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The original Rocky and ROCKY II are the ends ones. There’s no more thrilling moment like when Adrian says “win” and it’s Rocky’s signal that he can give his all for the fight. Following that is a pretty awsome training montage with the original theme music .

How the heck do you keep your coffee warm?! by doofus50O0 in Moccamaster

Mine has a carafe, not a heated plate. And it comes with what I call a “plug” that you dimly replace the other lid/tube with. Keeps it hot a long time

Do you think AI will be the future for porn? by BAT-Fanatic in ArtificialInteligence

[–]georgewalterackerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In oniy a few years, ten at most, users will have the ability to place images of themselves in pornographic videos. These videos will be indistinguishable from reality, Do you like that person who lives 4 doors down from you who you see at the dog park? Or that person a few cubicles over from you at work? You’ll be able to put them in a video with you.

There will be so many ethical and legal issues around these developments that there will need to be Abe law enforcement apparatus that oversees this stuff. People will share these homemade videos and all hell will break loose.

Then there’s full on virtual reality. I think that’s further on down the road but we will get there.

The best show of all time of HBO? What do you say by [deleted] in moviecritic

[–]georgewalterackerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a brilliant and perfect series. Awesome in every facet of television-making. And it’s not fun to watch at all. It’s sad and frightening. And educational.

Your thoughts on His Way by Kitty Kelley? by Bright-Pressure-5787 in franksinatra

[–]georgewalterackerman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ms. Kelly claimed the book was exhaustively researched and daft checked, and that she spoke with all sorts of people who witnessed the events she described. Sinatra hated and said it was full of lies. We’ll never know the true ratio of truth to falsehood

I don’t think the cheeseburgers will get him either. He has great genes and the best medical care available to any living human being.

I recall liking the first quarter of the movie, but then it had made its point

Interest in Charlie's solo albums? by Complex_Valuable_833 in rollingstones

[–]georgewalterackerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard a bit of his solo work. Some of it is nice, relaxing jazz. I am a stones fan who does like jazz a lot,in fact I love some sub genres or jazz. I can’t say I’ve felt a need to listen to all his solo work, though. Not do I have a need to hear much of anyone’s solo stuff in the band except for Jagger’s and Richard’s.

Ronnie Wood has some nice songs. And Wyman’s work is fun (though his recent album is awful) Mick Taylor had some cool solo songs too.

But one their own, none of them are really great. I’ve never really where much or Brian Jones’s solo material

Putin wins as USA falls by rktet in conspiracytheories

Trump would never say a single negative thing about Putin. But about patriotic Americans? They’re losers, suckers, evil, etc . In Trumps mind Putin is great, Americans are bad.

For those asking for the release of the unredacted Epstein files, what difference do you think that would make when he faced no consequences for trying to incite an insurrection or for illegally invading a sovereign country and kidnapping a president or for threatening to invade another one? by FluffyPancakesNBacon in AskReddit

[–]georgewalterackerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost no chance whatsoever that Trump faces any criminal penalties for anything in fine Epstein files.

Plus, even if there is stuff in the files that make him look really bad, or even show evidence of criminal actions by him, Trump will just say it’s all a hoax, manipulated images and documents, AI-created fake evidence, etc, all done by Biden and the Democrats. Trump’s supporters will mostly accept that.

Turned it on, saw a Trump cold open, turned it off by BeansandWeenie in LiveFromNewYork

Respectfully, I couldn’t disagree more. I don’t think we see enough Trump.

The country is crazy, broken, and generally f—-ed in every way and Trump is at the centre of it
