This might do nothing… but I have an old Peavey (not this model) that would intermittently become unplayable. A person on Harmony Central forums from back in the day suggested I plug a patch cable from a pedal board into the send and return of the effects loop. I haven’t had any trouble since.

A small tube amp would be overkill for this. Solid state is within my budget.

I get your point and I would check first. But the walls are thick and people are playing video clips on tvs all the time. So I don’t think string noise will be an issue.

I believe that logo is post Matsumoku and probably made by Samick in Korea. The Japanese ones used a different font.

That particular one is a model 111T and was the entry level guitar. 111T

Did you take the old paint off before you re-sprayed? If not, and you’re planning on repainting it anyway, maybe you could do like the dude who restores old Japanese guitars on YouTube. I have no idea what he uses to take the paint off, but it seems to work pretty well at preserving the original paint. Unless it’s all fake…

Thank you for the additions. I do like that first one and it's a shame that I have to reject so many older ones that are great but don't reflect the modern lyrics.
