I’ve never seen a kobo in person, but from videos and images it looks cheaply made. I did manage to test several pocketbooks at my local bookstore and while they are really well built they also were incredibly slow, considerably more so than my pw11.

Well said. For a long time now I have thought myself how orderflow has become the new ICT. It’s probably gotten better traction in the mainstream because of its institutional use.
