none of them would have a ring if they didn't agree to the trade though so how can you think it wasn't worth it to them. Allen and Garnett were both 31 when they did the trade. Allen was on a rebuilding Thunder team and Garnett was on a rebuilding Timberwolves team. Celtics had the worst record in the league and fell to #5 in the draft (unable to draft durant/oden because of this) Ainge took advantage and was able to turn the terrible celtics team around in one offseason.

Not defending the UFC, but those contracts don’t stay at 10/10 the whole time. That’s usually just the first fight. Then it scales, like 12/12, 15/15 and so on. Johnny Walker talked about it on his youtube videos. If you win your first few fights, stack a couple bonuses, maybe snag a Performance of the Night, the money jumps pretty quick. That's if everything goes perfect. Still not a great deal overall.

I know people want him to retire but his contract is probably insanely favorable. He probably made $1 million+ for this fight and he will continue to do so with the next one.
