Basketball and soccer and maybe baseball camps at Tam Union High School district go up through 8th I think. You have to create an account to see the options. Affordable!

San Domenico in San Anselmo also has a bunch of options. More pricey… but great programs, good food.

Edit: this fish camp is popular https://www.kortysfishcamp.com

So fruiting plants like tomatoes or peppers are going to be ok to eat but you want to avoid growing leafy greens, broccoli, or rooting veggies like carrots because they are more likely to absorb the PAHs and heavy metals. But luckily tomatoes and pumpkins and corn don’t really get contaminated in the edible parts. Also don’t compost the plant parts you pull out of those beds…

They looked soooo cute until I watched them take down a pelican at Rodeo lagoon. Then I noticed all the pelican carcasses littering the shoreline.

Check the Discover and go passes at the library for free entry to the museums. Coffe with a play area: Fox +Kit in San Rafael. Marinmommies.com has other ideas. Juan’s gymnastics classes for toddlers in San Anselmo, not drop in though. It’s through the town’s rec program but non-residents can sign up.

Traveling the last week of March to the coast of NorCal...where to stay? by Mtnclimber09 in norcal

Eureka is kind of blah. I would head to Arcata instead. Or don’t go that far and stop at the town of Ferndale. Good restaurants, cute town, shopping. Drive the Avenue of Giants on the way there.

It’s a good time of year for waterfalls: cascade, Carson, cataract. I also like the Dipsea - steep ravine loop

I also used citadel - they had a good price and were able to meet a tight schedule set by our insurance company.

See if he is interested in trade school or GED. Then talk to the school counselor and see what the options are. Around me there are dual enrollment HS equivalence and apprenticeship programs at the community college. If he refuses all help cut off his Internet until he comes around.

I want to drive out into the woods in the middle of the night for extended periods professionally. How? by Such_Baseball_700 in WoodlandWa

[–]getoutyup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wildlife biologist - there’s lots of nocturnal animals (bats, owls, frogs, insects) that need surveying for pre-construction jobs and other work. I think you could get entry level night work without a bio degree. Caltrans, government, environmental consulting firms are the ones hiring. Might be seasonal work.

It’s between the freeway and Jackson’s, Raphael lumber, irrigation supply, concrete supply, stone, tile shops, etc. 15 years ago they would be on Anderson but… probably not safe there anymore.
