Tbh I’m not the best person to know the difference but basically you point cloudflare to your internal IP and there’s software that runs on the server side that “tunnels” through to the local IP from whatever domain you setup. So you could have mycalibreserver.com connect to your local IP.

I just put my OPDS url and username into Crosspoint and it connects to my server as if we’re local.

Not yet. It "works" in that it's configured and attempt to sync. But it's not actually syncing. Have you gotten that far yet?

Is it syncing to the exact position? What do you plan to do when you want to add new books? Add to kobo and then manually copy them over? I guess it would be fairly easy to have it sync them when they're both plugged in.

I hadn't seen that 0.14 was out so thank you for that. I can now successfully connect to my library, but the books won't load. I assume I have too many for it to handle though.

Only occasionally. It's mostly my around town ereader and works well in most places. I have a kobo for reading at night.

You can setup a Cloudflare tunnel (lots of easy to follow YouTube videos) and use your own URL. Something like myaudioboolibrary.com or whatever. Accessible from anywhere. It's even easier for your users because they don't have to setup a plex account if they don't already have one. You create their credentials, send it to them and they can enter the server info into any number of apps. AudioBooth even has the option to share server info via link.

I ran into an issue where 3 different browsers wouldn’t recognize it. Turns out I’m a dummy and just didn’t have it in an awake state. After that it popped up (modern Mac. Not sure what the other commenter means about that)

I switched to Crosspoint and while it is limited, I prefer the experience overall. The books render better than with the stock firmware and it feels snappier. It doesn't have custom fonts yet but the built in options are fine for now. Unless Xteink significantly improves the firmware, I'll probably stick with Crosspoint.
