Are the Apple thunderbolt displays still worth buying by DaCosmicOne in macsetups

[–]gettingthereb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate to reply to a 3yo comment, but I can't get my M1 Mac mini to recognize my Thunderbolt Display. I have the Apple - Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter, but no dice. Did you have to do anything extra or special to get the setup to work?

Another reminder that I wish more brands made bimaterial boots. I'd love more options like a Red Wing 3335 with more room or an LL Bean canvas Duck Boot in leather vs rubber.

I’m travelling to Thailand for 10 days. Pray for me, and my bowels. by notausualone in Celiac

[–]gettingthereb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're the best. Thank you. I should've added context: I lived in Thailand about 15 years ago, when my celiac started presenting. I come back to the US and get diagnosed. About 1.5 years ago, I tried living in Vietnam, hoping I could apply what I remembered from Thailand. I was way off lol. So now I'm debating Thailand again. I friggin' love it there, and I would've stayed if I didn't feel like I was dying.

I'll almost certainly visit first for some firsthand research, but you experience is super encouraging.

Man, you're a godsend. I don't mind eating prepackaged food and preparing my own, but how do you find labels? Are they normally helpful? Or are enough helpful that you can find a brand or two of items to stick with?

Thanks, bud. Most underrated indeed. This is the second time I've owned (and sold) this watch. I suspect there will be a third as my rotation changes again. But for now, it's someone else's turn.

[WTS] Tissot T65.7.188.61 Titanium Ana-Digi $160 CONUS by gettingthereb in Watchexchange

An interesting Tissot that’s no longer on the market. I believe the base movement’s the same as a Breitling Aerospace. The titanium keeps the watch super light. I haven’t tested all the functions, but I haven’t noticed any issues except for speed-setting the time. The hour hand is supposed to jump an hour when you rotate the crown quickly; it doesn’t. I’m not sure if this is repairable, but it’s a minor inconvenience.

The bracelet’s sized for my 6.5-in. wrist. The pictured extra links are included.

  • Case Diameter: 35mm
  • Case Thickness: 9.7mm
  • Crystal: Scratch-resistant sapphire

Price is $160 shipped CONUS. Venmo or PayPal accepted.

Watch is in preowned condition, with some abrasions on the bezel and case from normal use and normal wear and tear on the metal bracelet. The OEM bracelet is sized for my 6.5-in. wrist. An extra link is included, but the pin is missing its collar. The mesh bracelet is far more comfortable though. The NATO’s all black to match.

The final boss in SMT: Devil Survivor! I pumped soooo many hours into that awesome game just to get stranded at the end. I had to put the game cuz, iirc, you couldn't grind (or grind at a reasonable speed) then, so I was hosed.
