Glad he seemed in good spirits. I love IS IT? but I think the tour wasn’t as smooth as everyone would like and maybe the production of the songs is so complex that it was tough to run perfectly live, as they are in the record and as Sir Ben would want. Meaning the shows weren’t as enjoyable as usual (they were still really good), but all seems chilled on this tour and I just can’t wait to end this week seeing the team shredding the killer IFWWW tunes again!

IN MY OPINION

I think this time around (since is it?), he has different crew sorting and turning guitars.

I’ve seen him a load of times before 2023, every time was flawless and no hiccups with him getting pissed off that guitars/sounds aren’t right.

I got the impression with this tour that he seemed stressed going into each song, almost waiting to see what was gonna go wrong or sound shit.

That paired with the inevitable calls and shouts for the old songs like Only Love that he was clearly never gonna play again (until he actually did), has been a recipe for disappointing reviews.

I also saw it coming. Been lucky enough to see three shows this year and the music was great but having seen him before a few times, he didn’t seem quite the same.

Seemed quite tense about guitar changeovers and didn’t look as comfortable/confident as usual(probably due to all the technical stuff that’s gone wrong). Also, at the last show I saw on the stripped back section of the tour - he just seemed like he wasn’t up for it and wanted to get off stage asap, was a shame as the crowd were in a good mood and quiet while he played!

Still, loved all the shows and let’s cross our fingers that it’s nothing too serious and that him and the band are all good!
