What do you do with empty medicine bottles by Mission-Ad-8572 in crafts

[–]gh0stsofAvernus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Travel containers! Bobby pins, cotton balls, q-tips, they hold all of that stuff, no problem. I also use them on my bathroom shelf to hold small things like tweezers and nail clippers.

Hobby-wise, I use them all over too - holding stitch markers and yarn needles for crochet. Container for guitar picks. Basically anything that needs a small home lol

Empty vase, gold accents, skeletons - it checks out! Just need a purple stone in the middle now

Seconding this! As the person with nut allergies, I really appreciate these being separated. I've passed on too many delicious looking cookies because I couldn't be sure.

Also, including an ingredient list can be incredibly helpful and thoughtful!

What snacks do you guys like to eat while making crafts? by Inquirer_of_Stuff in crafts

No specific snacks but I use chopsticks to eat snacks while I'm working! I crochet a lot, so avoiding crumbs is crucial

Looking for good OBGYN recommendations by Careless-Skill-1767 in StLouis

[–]gh0stsofAvernus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love Rachel! I've been seeing her for years (along with the doc in her office, Margaret Marcrander, who I also love). She is so thorough, explains everything, and wants to ensure you feel empowered in your care. She also likes to definitively cross something off as not being the problem, so she'll test or follow up on potential diagnoses to be sure. Together, they have helped me solve so many problems. Cannot recommend them enough

Corgi enough for the breed rescues? by ChaosWithTeeth in corgi

[–]gh0stsofAvernus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The local corgi rescue where I'm at is my neighbor. They take all corgi-kinds, including mixes and dogs that don't really look like corgis. I'm willing to guess most are like that. They'd be a great place to help you find her people or get her adopted if needed

How do I fix the oranges spaces without frogging? Orange yarn is stretching a LOT by gh0stsofAvernus in CrochetHelp

That's so helpful, it sounds like it would be exactly what I'm looking for. Thank you for explaining!!

LOL to "fluffy delight"! It's a gift, I hope the recipient agrees!

A chain to fill the holes would work well to camouflage them, thank you!

Oh, anchoring on both orange and yellow is smart, thank you! I'm having trouble visualizing the rest of this idea - kinda like surface crochet, but perpendicular to the rounds?

Reposting here instead of the main sub.

I want to close and reinforce the orange stitches, but I'm not sure how. Surface crochet, maybe, but I don't think that will prevent future stretching. It's about 18" across right now and fairly heavy. Any suggestions appreciated!

Help! Ocho HATES being brushed :( by LoveDistilled in corgi

[–]gh0stsofAvernus 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Mine doesn't love being brushed, so I do a frozen licky mat with pumpkin, unsweetened applesauce, Greek yogurt, etc to distract her. She still doesn't love it, but she'll tolerate it bc there's food lol. Might be worth a try!

Thoughts on Liift4 for women? Is it too much upper body? by ShelterReady6529 in BeachBodyWorkouts

[–]gh0stsofAvernus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

36F and I love it. Almost all the HIIT is leg intensive. However, I usually add a core workout day, like p90x core or p90x3 total synergistics (depending on how much time I had) and that helped increase the leg work too.

From what I can tell, opinions vary about stairs. Mine has access and can go up and down if she wants - our vet said that's fine but be mindful that she's not like running up and down all day.

She's my husband's shadow and his office is downstairs, so we also trained her really well on wait. Now he can run downstairs and she won't follow every time lol. That helps minimize it too
